DAY 4

M A G D A L A Visit the hometown of Mary Magdalene and the site of a first-century synagogue, where Jesus most certainly would have taught (Matthew 4:23). Explore the excavated city of Magdala and worship in the beautiful Duc in Altum.

N O F G I N O S A R Stop by the Yigal Allon Museum where a 2,000-year-old boat from Jesus’ time is on display.

S E A O F G A L I L E E Sail on the Sea of Galilee in a replica of a first-century wooden boat. It is here Jesus walked on the waters and calmed the storm. This region around the Sea of Galilee is where Jesus lived most of His public life and performed His most glorious miracles.

M O U N T O F B E AT I T U D E S Visit the Church of the Beatitudes and pray on the hillside where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-12).

TA B G H A Visit the Church of the Multiplication that commemorates the site where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes (Luke 9:10-17).

B A N I A S Drive to Banias, the site of the ancient city of Caesarea Philippi which is one of the main sources of the Jordan River. This is where Peter made his great confession of faith to Jesus stating, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16).

C A N ADepart for Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding feast, turning water into wine. (John 2:1-1; John 4:46-54). Couples will have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows.

N A Z A R E T HProceed to Nazareth, where Jesus lived His childhood, and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, the sacred cave where He lived with Mary. Then visit St. Joseph’s Church, Mary’s Well (in the Greek Orthodox Church), and the Chapel of Charles deFoucauld at the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Convent of the Sisters of Nazareth.

N A Z A R E T H - M O U N T P R E C I P I C EVisit the mountain from which the people of Nazareth wanted to throw Jesus to His death (Luke 4:28-30).

M O U N T TA B O RAscend Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration, and visit the Catholic Church (Matthew 17:1-8). We will take time for meditation and prayer while overlooking the view of the Armageddon Valley.

M E G I D D O Discover a fascinating tel (hill), comprising 26 ancient civilizations superimposed on one another, overlooking the Valley of Jezreel also known as the Valley of Armageddon – the place where the last battle of mankind is due to take place (Revelation 16:16). Megiddo was also one of Solomon’s fortified chariot cities (1 Kings 9:15).

J O R D A N R I V E R V A L L E Y Gradually descend through the Jordan River Valley from Beit She’an to the Dead Sea then travel up to Jerusalem.

DAY 7

E I N K A R E MVisit the Church of St. John, the birthplace of John the Baptist (Luke 1:1-25) and the Church of the Visitation, where the Virgin Mary proclaimed the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55).

I S R A E L M U S E U MSee the scale model of ancient Jerusalem and visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are displayed.

B E T H L E H E MTravel to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, believed to be the place where Jesus was born. This is the oldest church in the world, dating back to 327 AD. Visit St. Catherine’s Church, and have Mass at St. Jerome’s Chapel. Travel to the Milk Grotto, very close to the Church of the Nativity, where tradition says that the Virgin Mary nursed her child and a drop spilled onto a rock and the color changed to white.

S H E P H E R D ’ S F I E L D SVisit the fields where the shepherds kept watch over their flocks by night and the angelic chorus announced the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:8-20).

DAY 8

M O U N T O F O L I V E SEnjoy a panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem from this significant biblical site. See the Chapel of the Ascension (Luke 24:50-53) and the Church of Pater Noster (Luke 11:1-4).

D O M I N U S F L A V I TVisit the church that commemorates the site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41).

G A R D E N O F G E T H S E M A N EWalk to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Church of All Nations that houses the Rock of Agony, where Jesus sweat great drops of blood as He prayed.

W E S T E R N W A L LPray at the Western Wall, Judaism’s most sacred site.

W E S T E R N W A L L T U N N E L SEnter the Rabbinic Tunnels revealing the base of the Temple Mount and the street level during the time of Jesus.
