Ministry Flow Chart Objective

“Cooperating with the Holy Spirit to help a

person move from being an unsaved, unchurched

guest to becoming a global Christian.”

A popular ministry flow chart in America developed by

Rick Warren.

This ministry flow chart uses two simple symbols.

Principle #1

The strength of the church is not just the size of the crowd but the size of the core!

Principle #2

You always build a church from the

outside in, never the inside out!

Your Ministry Flow Chart will include programs, but they are NOT the

focus!

We focus on the objective, the process of Jesus “making disciples.”

Description of a Discipled PersonHow will we help people know it: The congregation will know these statements because we will demonstrate them and model them, preach them and teach them, and expect them of our leadership.

The statements

How will we know?

How will we help people embrace it?

How will we help people live it?

What are we going to do?

1. A disciple is a steward of his/her time, money, and talents.

Biblical tithing/sacrificial giving

Appropriate division of time between God, family, and career

Involved in life of church

Committed to growth

Teach classes on spiritual gifts

Create an environment were there are expectations of ALL the people to get involved, not just the holy few

Classes on financial stewardship in general

By example – like the church tithing

Take the initiative to recruit people (go to them instead of waiting for them to come to us)

Preach it! Promote Sundays as family

nights Provide ideas, materials,

books, etc. Testimony about the value

of tithing

Teach classes on spiritual gifts (Network or Shape)

Teach class on financial stewardship (Dave Ramsey, Crown, or Good Sense)

Promote Sundays as family nights (use 1 Sunday a month as a corporate fellowship time for small groups and others)

Promote short term involvement in ministry (try a new ministry month, use as follow up for a spiritual gifts class, service projects through small groups, recognize “laypeople”)

Recruit people to ministry
