1.  Introduction to research and research methodology:

Research methodology is a science of studying how research is done scientifically. It is a way to

systematically solve the research problem by logically adapting various steps. Research

methodology helps to understand not only the product of scientifically inquire but the process

itself.

2.  Determining the general topic:

We were asked to do research on any of the subjects related to the major problems of 

Bangladesh. After a group discussion, we the group members have decided to complete our

research on population problem in Bangladesh.

3.  Performing literature review on the topic:

The people of a country are considered as assets of that country. Yet high number of this asset

can lead to a major problem. High population can become a burden to any country if the

country does not consist of enough resources and thus government can feed the people.

Developing country like Bangladesh should utilize her man power.

This is the first & main key to be developed for a country.

4.  Selection and formulation of research problem:

Bangladesh is a small country on the view to its space but its population is highly increasing than

its demand. As a result, government is unable to fulfill people's rights. Moreover,

unemployment, illiteracy, child marriage, child labor, imbalance of environment, pollution,

corruption, flood etc are highly increasing because of huge of population.

5.  Framing a purpose for the study:

Purposes highlighted for the study are:

y  To solve population problem

y  To face the challenges

y  To serve society

6.  Writing an introduction to the study:

This study is basically followed by data analyzed in previous and results related to those analysis.

But our focus is on the after effects of the problem and the major flaws observed in the steps

taken. And after accomplishment of our research we will be able to open new ideas and sources

to solve the problem more efficiently.

7.  Framing research hypothesis:

The outlines of the hypothesis are:

y  Problems related to high population

y  What was done in previous

y  What the data indicates

y  What are the changes in recent years

y  What are the flaws in previous measurements

y  How can these flaws be covered

8.  Determining the method of investigation:

y  Survey

y  Q uestionnaire

y  Observationy  Interview

y  Data analysis

y  Previous preserved records

y  Case study

9.  Data collection methods and techniques:

Data and all the other information will be collected by all the group members together. We will

go through journals published on population problems in Bangladesh, articles of magazines,

interviews of politicians and other high expert personalities.

10. Analysis, interpretation and drawing inference:

After all these observations and procedures, we will be able to solve not all the problems

completely but we can put highest efficiency to achieve our goal on solving problems regarding

high population in Bangladesh.
