Ephesians 6: 10 - 18

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people

2 Tim 3: 1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,

boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love,

unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous,

rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have

nothing to do with such people.

 Matt 24:5-7 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will

deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various

places

• 1 Pet 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

• Matt 28: 18 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”

• Isa 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

• Phil 4:13“I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

John 8:44 “…. He (Satan) was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no

truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he

is a liar and the father of lies.”

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the

Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

… with the breastplate of righteousness in place (v.14)

Rom 4:24 “…. whom God will credit righteousness - for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

15 and with your feet fitted with the

readiness that comes from the Gospel of

peace.

Heb 11:33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.

Eph 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation (guard your mind) …

2 Cor 10:5 “demolish arguments and every

pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,

and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to

CHRIST”.

Verse 17 “…. and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Jesus’ defense againsttemptation: “IT IS WRITTEN”

“Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17)
