    1. Place the safety in the on safe position and check to make sure the rifle

is completely unloaded.2. Insert the Mounting Block into the rear of the fore-end extension (Figure 2).

    3. Secure the Mounting Block into the extension using three countersinkscrews. Start all three screws. Tighten the bottom screw first, then the twoside screws using a torque driver set to 20 in.-lbs.

    4. Install the rail clamp onto the extension as shown in Figure 3. Leave thetwo countersink mounting screws loose.

    5. Insert the two screws through the upper mounting holes. Slide the railassembly, clamp end first, over the barrel as shown in Figure 4.

    6. Start the two top screws into the matching threaded holes on the threadadapter as shown in Figure 5. Leave the screws very loose.

    7. Align the rails on the rifle and the extension, then tighten the top screwsto 30 in.-lbs. using the torque driver. A MIL-STD 1913 polymer railguard or other clamping accessory may be used to help ensure the railsremain aligned.

    8. Tighten the bottom clamp screws as shown in Figure 6 to 20 in.-lbs. usingthe torque driver.

Periodically check the screws that secure the fore-end extension, and anyaccessories on your rifle, to ensure they are tight. You may also choose to installthe fore-end extension using a removable, semi-permanent threadlocker suchas Loctite 242 to help prevent the mounting hardware from loosening.
