HAPPY BIRTHDAY PMYC – 51 YEARS OLD

Hello Everyone,

I want to begin by thanking everyone, especially Senior Staff Commodore and PMYC Founder, Phil Murray and Fran, for sharing in the celebration. Deborah Pitt did a superb job coordinating the festivities. It was a perfect night. The weather was great, the activities didn’t require police intervention, turn-out was excellent, and Bingo was more popular than I thought it would be. Thank you, again, Deborah for exercising some initiative and forging forward.

We have the 4th of July Celebrations coming this weekend. The Dinghy-Rama starts at noon. Food and presentations about 4:30pm, fireworks about 8:30pm. If you’re a new

member, please make an effort to see what this is like at PMYC. We always have a good time. There will be burgers, dogs and all the trimmings.

Deborah, in the news again, just had a heck of a birthday party. Great band, excellent food, lots of guests. Happy Birthday Deborah!

The Luau Cruise is three weeks away and we’ve made an effort these past six months to friend-up some members of other clubs to join in. PMYC and Shoreline will host the shindig with invitations going to Santa-Monica Windjammers YC, Marina Venice YC, and Redondo Beach YC. Trying to bring the spirit of boating, friendship between clubs, and some activities together so we can better appreciate one another.

There will be a break of about eight weeks until the Emerald Bay Cruise. The Fleet Captain and activity drivers are diligent to find another few activities to fill the gap. If you have some ideas, share them with any of the leadership. We’ll see if we can work it into the summer.

Greetings To Everyone, Lets get ready to enjoy the 4th of July celebration! Just a reminder, if you are bringing guests to the Club or parking your own car, please do not park in a Flag Officer's spot unless you received permission. If you do not have a PMYC parking sticker or your guest does not have a pass, you run the risk of being towed. Great things are happening around the club. I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying their summer.

This year I wanted to do something different for our club’s Birthday.

That’s why I did BINGO! It has always been a love of mine.

I like it because anyone can play and we can do it together.

I know there were a few turned up noses, but needless to say we had a full house! Staff Commodore Phil Murray came out to play. That really made my night! Once Steve Bingo started calling numbers, the level of concentration at the club was something of which I have never experienced before.

I swear, if I dropped a pin in the place that night I could hear it drop!

We had several winners during the evening, as we had plenty of cash and prizes to give away. Kerry Rackliffe and Randi Kelts won some cash. Matt Wielicki hit the jackpot. He called Bingo twice during the evening for a total of 100 bucks! Once all the cash and prizes had been given away, we went from Bingo party to dance party. I really enjoyed myself, and to those of you who attended, I hope you did too.

Thanks so much to those of you who came out to play. It was greatly appreciated by myself as well as the club. Thanks also go out to Deanna Onisko, Glen Solomon and Keith Mott for tending bar. Many thanks to my husband Gary Panas for helping me during the evening. I couldn’t have done it without all of you!

I hope to see everyone at the club soon. It’s going to be a rocking summer!
