The proposed iron ore crushing & screening with 400 TPH capacity will consist of
Vibrating Screens, Jaw Crusher system, cone crusher, roll crusher, conveyor systems and
pollution control equipments.
The reason behind for setting up the iron ore crushing and screening unit is that the
average grade of iron ore available in the ML area is around 60% Fe, whereas the iron ore
encountered within the BHQ/BMQ is having 52% Fe. The ROM ore will be crushed to
fines at mines itself and transported directly to our plant site situated at Siltara, Raipur
from the ML area.
The area is well connected through road network. Area is approachable from Rajahara by
State highway connecting Jagdalpur by covering a distance of about 20km. The nearest
Railway Station is Kusumkasa (Near Dalli Rajhara) located 30 km away from the mine.
The road distance from the mining site at Ari Dongri to our existing steel plant at
Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur is about 165 Kms.

CHAPTER – IV
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
IRON ORE CRUSHER & SCREENING FACILITIES
Two Units of Iron Ore Crusher and Screening is proposed to be setup. The ROM from
captive mines will be received in dumping yard. The received ROM would be in the size
range upto 1000 mm. The ROM will be fed into the Ground Hopper in combination of
pay loader and dumpers/trucks.
Unit-1 – Crushing Unit
The material will be fed to Ground Hopper and then to Grizzly Feeder
From Grizzly Feeder material will flow in two ways;
One flow will pass from Grizzly Feeder of 400 TPH subjected to another Grizzly
Feeder of 250 TPH and goes to Jaw Crusher
After crushing in Jaw Crusher the material goes to Vibrating Screen where it will
separate to sizes 0-10 mm, 10-40 mm and 40-80 mm.
0-10 mm is the Product-1 which in turn goes to Loading Hopper.
10-40 mm is the Product-2 subject to smooth Roll Crusher to make the size to 0-10
mm as Product-3 and goes to Loading Hopper.
40-80 mm the oversize material goes to Cone Crusher for further crushing which after
crushing takes back to Vibrating Screen.
Another flow of material passes from Grizzly Feeder subject to Primary Jaw Crusher
and after crushing the material flows to Vibrating Screen where it will separate to
sizes 0-10 mm, 10-40 mm and 40-250 mm.
0-10 mm material is the Product-1 and 10-40 mm is the Product-2.
40-250 mm takes back to Primary Jaw Crusher for further crushing through Grizzly
Feeder.

Unit-2 – Screening Unit
The material will be fed to Ground Hopper and then to Vibrating Screen.
After screening, the material will separate to 0-10 mm Product-1, 10-25 mm Product-
2 and 25-250 mm Product-3.
Product-3 of size 25-250 mm will pass to the Ground Hopper of Crushing Unit for
reducing the size of the material.
Besides all the production equipments, other equipments like Power supply, pollution
control, electrical motors etc. have been included. The capacity of the equipment has
been decided on the basis of experience of similar units.
Process Flow Chart of Iron Ore Crushing & Screening Unit
Based on the production capacity, analysis of the required raw materials and the facilities,
a process-cum-material flow has been worked out as under :

ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT
Godawari Power & Ispat Limited has a well defined Environmental Policy by which the
company is committed to conduct business with strong environmental conscience
towards community, customer & employees.
Control of Air Pollution :
The main source of fugitive emission is due to the crushing & screening plant, loading &
unloading point, vehicular movement and all transfer points and the same will be
controlled through extensive water sprinkling. The water sprinkling will also be done on
haul roads. Four air monitoring stations are established in core zone area.
The entire crushing & screening process will be done in a closed circuit to eliminate
fugitive emission. Adoption of technology like recovery of dust/ash for re-use as raw
material will fulfill the twin objectives of material conservation and pollution control.
The fines so generated is being separately stored & transported to our plant at Siltara for
use in our pelletization process.
Control of Water Pollution :
There is no effluent generation from the crushing & screening unit. Domestic Effluent
will be generated approx 01 KLD, the septic tank and soak pit is constructed for domestic
Effluent.
Green Belt Development
Adequate green belt has already been done in and around the existing mining lease area
of 106.60 ha. Locally available types of sufficient trees which are resistant to pollutants
