Dear Participants,

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are now among the leading cause of death in developing countries, including India. Despite the availability of evidence-based strategies related to prevention and control of NCDs and the concerted efforts, results have generally been not upto the mark. To achieve the ambitious ‘25X25 target’, further strengthening of health systems at the local, regional and national level is need of the hour. Hence this workshop is envisaged to train the faculty and students of public health/community medicine, programme managers and implementers, professionals working in civil society organizations, medical officers, physicians from other specialties and allied health personnel who are either currently involved or are deeply interested in prevention and control of NCDs though health systems strengthening. We welcome you all for this workshop at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the “City of Lakes” Organising Secretary
