M.A / M.SC / M.COM / MBA (Session 2019-20)

Admissions are open in the below M.A/M.Sc./M.Com/MBA degree programmes Session 2019-20 from 11.10.2019. The interested candidates shall submit Online Admission Application at the University Admission Portal http://admissions.uop.edu.pk and submit Rs. 1500/- Processing Fee in account mentioned in the voucher. Essential details are as under:

Eligibility: 1st priority: 2nd Class B.A with Archaeology 2nd priority: 2nd Class B.A/B.Sc.

2 History Eligibility: 2nd Class B.A/B.Sc. However, candidates having studied the subject of History in B.A will be entitled to 20 additional marks.

3 English & Applied Linguistics Eligibility At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc. as well as in subject of English (Elective).

4 Philosophy Eligibility: at least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc.

FACULTY OF ISLAMIC & ORIENTAL STUDIES 5 Arabic

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A as well either in the subject of Arabic OR Islamiyat (Elective)

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT & INFORMATION SCIENCES 15 MBA (2-Years) (Master in Business Administration)

Eligibility: At least sixteen years of education with minimum 2.5 CGPA or 45% marks Those having BBA degree will be given a 30-36 hours exemption. For in-service candidates classes in Evening Session (5:00 to 8:00 pm) will be offered. Those opting for Evening Program must mention their preference on the admission form.

16 Human Resource Management (HRM) Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Com, BBA, B.A/B.Sc or equivalent with any ONE of the following subjects: i) Economics, ii) Statistics, iii) Mathematics.

17 MPA 2-Years (Master in Public Administration) Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc, BSc Home Economics, B.Com, BBA

18 M.Com (2 years) Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Com

19 Journalism & Mass Communication Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Journalism. 2nd priority: At least 45% marks in BA

20 Computer Science Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Computer Science + Maths A, however, 45% marks in subject of Computer Science is mandatory.

21 Electronics Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with subjects of Electronics and any other two subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences. 2nd priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with any combination of 3 subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences.

22 Mathematics Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with Maths A + maths B, however, 45% marks in the subject of Maths B is mandatory.

23 Physics Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Maths A + Physics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Physics is mandatory.

24 Statistics Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with maths A + Statistics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Statistics is mandatory.

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

25 Criminology Eligibility: B.A / B.Sc with at least 45% marks.

26 Economics Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics with Statistics or Maths-A. 2nd priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics.

27 Gender Studies Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A in one of the following subjects: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Urdu Advanced, English (Elective), International Relations.

28 International Relations Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of IR. 2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in one of the following subjects, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, Sociology, Philosophy, Law, History & Geography.

29 Library Science Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc or equivalent.

30 Peace & Conflict Studies Eligibility: B.A/B.Sc with at least 45% marks.

31 Political Science Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Political Science.

32 Psychology Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subjects of Psychology, Applied Psychology. 2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in Philosophy, Social Work, Sociology, Home Economics, education, B.Sc with Zoology

33 Regional Studies Eligibility: Minimum B.A 2nd Division with at least one subject of Social Sciences.

IMPORTANT:

1. Applicants will apply online at University of Peshawar Admission Portal at http://admissions.uop.edu.pk and submit the hardcopy of Admission Application Form (Printed from Online Admission Application), Application fee voucher (In original along with academic documents at Admission Office, Room No.102, Main Administration Block, University of Peshawar w.e.f.11.10.2019 to 21.10.2019.

2. No printed Prospectus or Admission Application Form will be issued. The candidates are required to apply online only as per procedure mentioned above.

3. Candidates who have passed B.A / B.Sc exam in the current and preceding session will be given 1st priority in admission, while the others will be given 2nd priority.

4. Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned departments/centre/institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered.

5. Disabled & Hafiz e Quran applicants must bring Admission Form Acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on 23-24.10.2019.

6. Bank Voucher received by mail or after 21.10.2019 will not be entertained. 7. The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the

programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary.
