How to create Equality?

We found that the gap between the privileged
and the under-privileged is mainly in these
areas:
• Access to Quality English Language Education
• Access to Quality Healthcare
Our Efforts: Access to English Education

1. We station our trainers at hindi medium
schools and colleges run by various
NGOs, government etc.
2. Our trainers are allotted classes from
within the existing timetable.
3. Our trainers take about 2-4 periods per
class per week on English Improvement.
English Training Content

We divide the students into four categories and teach
them according to their level.
• Beginner Level – Word Formation, Basic Sentence
Formation, Active voice of all tenses, phonetics,
vocabulary of about 500 basic words, basic
speaking practice.
• Intermediate level – Sentence formation, Active
and Passive voice of all tenses, modal verbs, other
parts of speech, phonetics, vocabulary of about 500
words, discussions, debates and role plays in
English.

3. Semi-advanced Level – Common mistakes in
Indian English, review of tenses and voice, review
of parts of speech, accent and phonetics, phrasal
verbs, idioms, vocabulary of 350 higher level
words, debating, discussions, role plays and
speeches in English.
4. Advanced level – conditional sentences, advanced
grammar, higher level writing skills, reading
comprehension skills, listening skills, presentation
skills, phonetics and accent, spoken English
fluency.
Our Efforts: Access to healthcare

1. Our team conducts healthcare camps for each
child four times a year.
2. These camps cover the following:
• Respiratory Problems
• Dental Problems
• Blood work for infections and abnormality
• Eye Checkup
• And all common medical ailments.
3. Naurang Foundation also bears the cost for first
line treatment of these children.
Our Projects

1. Bal Sahyog:
• Student Profile: orphan children and street children rescued by
the organization.
• Our work: Teaching English to 65 children in three classes.
2. Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute:
• Student Profile: Children from very poor families (rickshaw
pullers, laborers etc.)
• Our work: Teaching English to 350 children from class 6th to
10th.
3. Eternal University, Baru Sahib:
• Student Profile: B.Sc nursing students from Himachal Pradesh
• Our work: Teaching spoken English and soft skills for
employability.
Events – Chess Tournament

• In order to promote a more enlightened society,
Naurang Foundation also supports the game of
chess.
• Naurang Foundation organizes the annual
“Naurang Memorial International Rating Chess
Tournament”
• This is an annual tournament with regional rounds
in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Banglore.
• This tournament has the highest ever prize
money in the game of chess of Rs.50 lacs.
