This course introduces delegates to a numberof research methods useful for academic andprofessional investigations of informationpractices, texts and technologies. By examiningthe applications, strengths and major criticismsof methodologies drawn from both thequalitative and quantitative traditions, thiscourse permits an understanding of the variousdecisions and steps involved in crafting (andexecuting) a research methodology, as well asa critically informed assessment of publishedresearch.
