You want to maintain and monitor

a list of validated producers and

share all or part of them with your

customer? GLOBALGAP offers to

retailers, suppliers and traders an

additional service to validate largequantities of producer certificates:

Lists of GLOBALGAP numbers (GGNs)

can be uploaded into the system via

Excel upload. The database validates

the GGNs and provides the certificate

validation result in the password-

protected database account.

How to use this feature:

Apply for GLOBALGAP supplier

service package for an annual feeof 1,550 EUR (incl. optional sup-

plier membership status).

For a valid certificate the following

information will be displayed:

GGN and GLOBALGAP

certificate number

Certification Body, scheme

and option GLOBALGAP producer and

product status

Certificate validity

Country of production and

destination countries

If the certificate is not displayed,

please contact your supplier/

producer for updated certification

information.

In case where producer informa-

tion/paper certificate does not matchwith database display, contact

Please include all available informa-

tion to guarantee efficient response.

You want to check whether a product

can be traced back to a certified

producer? Request the producer orpacker to label the product with the

unique GLOBALGAP number (GGN).

The GLOBALGAP Number (GGN)

is a 13-digit numerical number (e.g.,

4049929000000), not including

the GLOBALGAP Trademark, and is

unique to each and every producer

and any other legal entity in the

GLOBALGAP system. For this number

GLOBALGAP uses existing Global

Location Numbers (GLN) issued andto be purchased from the local GS1

organisation (www.gs1.org) or alter-
