I am currently working as Process ManagerEditorial at JPMorganChase, one of the worlds leading investment banks. Inducted into the Mumbai office in September 2004, my responsibility involves churning out high, value-added finance products, besides editing the JPMorgan equity research reports for the Asia Pacific region. My job profile includes:

Sole responsibility of producing the JPMorgan Minutes and the Hands-on China Series. Both products require a good understanding of economics and finance, sector dynamics, and international politics, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Moreover, strong editing skills are required to make these products a success. Since its existence, the JPMorgan Minutes has featured personalities ranging from US senators and ambassadors to central bankers and economists. Editing JPMorgans equity research reports for the Asia Pacific region, including Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and India. Coordinating, editing, and compiling research and conference booklets for the US, Europe (EMEA), LatAm, and Asia Pacific regions.

Serving as a financial guide for the other editors in Mumbai. My brief stint earlier as an equity analyst puts me in a unique position in that regard. Playing an active role in establishing editorial standards for the department.As a senior editor for the Asia Pacific region (ex Japan), I was deputed to the Tokyo office for a couple of months in October 2005. Some of my articles included Value Averaging, Using Derivatives to Hedge Equity Portfolios, and A Journey to the Efficient Frontier. BUSINESS STANDARD LTDAs an Equity Analyst, I worked in Indias No. 2 financial daily for 13 months (Dec00-Dec01). During the period, I co-wrote a regular column called the COMPASS, everyday from Tuesday to Saturday. As the one-half of a two-member team under the leadership of Manas Chakravarty (Emcee), one of the leading financial writers in India, we wrote on a wide range of issues related to financial markets and research. My focus areas typically were the old economy sectors like pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, metals, and chemicals. I also covered the mutual fund industry extensively. The COMPASS was a column in its own right and exceedingly good writing and editing skills were called for.
