Once again the pride-o-meter reached dangerous levels. Thank you to everyone that attended. Stranger Danger Following on from the safeguarding alert we raised yesterday, I felt it was important to reiterate the following stranger danger advice. Never go off on your own with a stranger, take things from them or get in a car with them. Make sure you tell your parents where you are. If someone scares you, or makes you feel uncomfortable go somewhere safe, which could be your home, your school or a police station. Remember to tell someone straight away. School Uniform I know we are coming to the end of the school year but it has become very noticeable that a number of children are bending the school uniform policy. No illuminous shoes should be worn in school, except for at playtimes. Children should only wear glasses if they have a genuine prescription, therefore, clear fashion glasses are sadly not allowed no matter how lovely they look. Sad News It is with regret that I have to inform those long standing families of Lyndon Green about the passing away of a previous member of staff. Sadly, Claire Fairclough (nee Morgan) a member of staff from 1983 - 2009 passed away after battling a long standing illness. A large representation of our current staff attended her funeral today. Our thoughts are with her family At the same time everyone at the Junior School would like to express its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Nicholas Urbanski. Nicholas, a pupil in Sparrowhawks, sadly passed away after a serious illness last week. Our thoughts are with our friends in the Infants and everyone connected with Nicholas. Have a super half term. See you all on June 2nd Lyndon Green Junior School
