The4/2-and4/3-wayproportioanldirectionalvalvesaredesignedasdirectoperatedcomponentsforsubplatemounting.Theyareactuatedbymeansofproportionalsolenoidswithcentralthreadandremovablecoil.Thesolenoidsarecontrolledeitherbyexternalcontrolelectronics(type4WRA...L2X)orbyintegratedcontrolelectronics(type4WRAE...L2X).Thevalvesbasicallyconsistof:Body(1)withmountingsurface,Controlspool(3)withcompressionsprings(2),Solenoids(4)withcentralthread,Optionalintegratedelectronics(5).With thesolenoids (4),de-energised, thecontrolspool (3) isheld in thecentralpositionby thecompressionsprings(2).Directoperationofthecontrolspool(3)byenergisingoneoftheproportionalsolenoids(4)e.g.controlofsolenoidright,thenmovementofthecontrolspool (3)tothe left inproportiontotheelectricalinputsignal,andconnectionfromPtoAandBtoTviaorifice-likecrosssectionswithprogressiveflowcharacteristics.
