  • 4 Students sit a Lexile Test online to determine a lexile reading measure Students start the test on an average lexile item for their year level. If they answer the question correctly, he/ she is given a more challenging one. If the student answers the question incorrectly, a question at a lower level is posed. After approximately 20 questions, a Lexile Score will be determined. How it works

  • 12 Now what Students can engage in the Literacy Pro Program through their log in- select books, identify interests etc Students are now ready to start selecting Lexile Books from the library. It is recommended that students select books that are within a 50 point range above or below their score. Once a book is complete, students sit a quiz to assess their comprehension of what they read.

  • Each personalized list is based on the students reading interests. After reading a book, students may take an online quiz. Students may create a personalized reading list within their Lexile range

  • Literacy Pro Quizzes Assess Comprehension Of Books Students Choose To Read. If a child leaves mid quiz they will be given a 0 for the quiz. They can then retake the quiz at a later date.
