WINDSOR OAKS NOVEMBER 2017 NEWS FROM YOUR BOARD

Your Windsor Oaks Board of Directors held its monthly meeting October 10th.

Minutes of the Board meeting are posted on our web site www.windsoroakscharlotte.com. Please refer to the web site for a detailed summary of our monthly meetings. In the future Windsor Oaks Board News will become a monthly update of matters your Board feels important to our community.

Your Board approved the 2018 budget and will present the 2018 budget at our next Home Owners Association meeting Tuesday November 14, at 7PM. The meeting will be held at Light of Christ United Methodist Church 9212 Bryant Farm Rd about .7 of a mile from Windsor Oaks. Steve Barbour of BB&T will discuss our master insurance policy.

We have received three bids on the Dry Pond cleanup project that the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services demand we bring up to standards. We will retain the services of a professional engineer to help us review the bids.

The Board unanimously approved two contracts, one for $4,300 to replace shrubbery and another for $2,049 to add battery operated controllers on the irrigation system. Additionally, we are awaiting more bids to replace the swimming pool heater.

The Landscape Committee reported that grass over seeding and tree trimming has been completed. US Lawns is still investigating minor problems with our irrigation system. Alex Savino and Brandon Shively of US Lawns will be attending our November WOHA meeting to present ongoing landscaping plans. Please replace weathered security signs with new ones for a better appearance in ourcommunity.

Architecture and Mechanical Committee reports repair work on the brick walls on Elm Lane and Rea Road has begun. FYI, mail boxes are your obligation not WOHA.

Carpets and mattresses are not to be put in trash bins or alongside the street for pick up. You need to arrange for disposal of bulk items by yourself or a third-party disposal contractor. Large and bulky items are not covered by our normal trash service.

As a reminder, all owners and prospective renters or lessors must appear before the WOHA Board for approval prior to occupancy of their prospective tenant. This is per page 38 of WO Home Owners Association Rules & Regulations, commonly referred to as the Green Book. In January WOHA Board News will still be delivered in your Drop Box if you do not have an email address. All others will receive the Board News electronically.
