LEARNING WITH FASHIONUNIT 1: TEEN LIFE: TEEN FASHIONIn life, we use clothes that fit our style and preferences and we can find different styles of clothing all around the world. It’s very common to talk about our clothes and styles that we prefer in our daily-basis.

But sometimes we

don’t know the exact words to have this kind of conversation in English, like the outfit you’re wearing, the style of clothing that you prefer the most or how often you wear some kind of item.

In this Unit you’re going to learn vocabulary that will help you communicate with foreign people in case you need to. Besides, you’ll learn things about different styles so you can distinguish each one.

I) Learning clothing styles

BOHEMIAN STYLE

This style is very similar to the Hippie style. It’s very natural and flowy. Recurring items in this style are: bandanas or hair accessories, long and loose skirts, sandals or boots, leather bracelets, long necklaces, and crop-tops. All of these items are usually neutral or warm color.

HIP-HOP STYLE

EDGY STYLE

This is a urban style. It’s known for its showy patterns and bright colors. Almost every item in this style is baggy and loose. Recurring items are: tennis shoes, sweatpants, big T-shirts, snapbacks and beanies.
