Course objectives The given course “Practical Course on Culture of Speech Communication” is based on the information and activity approach. The program is orientated not only to form stable imagination of culture of speech, verbal and non-verbal ethics of foreign country but to use all knowledge, norms and requirement in oral and written intercultural communication.

Course Outline The program is orientated not only to form stable imagination of culture of speech, verbal and non-verbal ethics of foreign country but to use all knowledge, norms and requirement in oral and written intercultural communication. This course helps translation proficiency students to raise their professional status practically. Students during the course carry out different types of individual tasks including reports, essays, case studies; they also conduct surveys, do assignments, presentations which help to develop their individual and creative work skills. The suggested course is interdisciplinary. It makes an attempt to combine conflict logical, ethnological, socio-psychological and socio-philosophical approaches to professional work of a translator. The themes covered in the course are issues of a great importance. This is because the matter of translation theory and practice has been studied not only from linguistic or stylistic point of view but also from psychological and sociological points too. To this end this collection of lecture notes gives us a valuable opportunity to look into translation process from a translator’s or a client’s point of view.

Questions of emergence of religions in primitive society, development of major world religions and their impact on social and political life are studied. Doctrines of major world religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, reasons of reformist movements and sects are investigated.

Public speaking is an important psychological tool for today’s leaders, political and public figures, and for some specialties, such as, for example, a teacher or a presentation manager, the ability to communicate basic ideas to a wide audience in an oral monologue is a necessary part of a profession. Course Outline The role and place of Kazakhstan in the system of modern international relations in the framework of intensive realization of national interests of world states in central Asia that seems to be the obligatory fact. The course deals with the main directions of foreign relations of Kazakhstan; it analyzes the factors and principles of integration processes in the post-soviet space, where RK takes part as well; much attention is paid to studies of regional and global challenges of RK; the course evaluates the role of RK in the global policy; it analyzes the strategic correlation of RK with Russia, the USA, China and other states of Latin America, Middle, Central and Far East countries.

Course objectives Main objective of a course – formation of practical skills of the translation of different genres of economic texts from source language on the translating language. The main objectives of students to know types of an economic texts translation, types of lexical, grammatical and stylistic transformations. To know criteria of the qualitative analysis of the translation.

Course Outline The course of an informative translation is one of the most important components of the block of the main subjects and is under construction on the basis of requirements of the State educational standard and the standard curriculum for this specialty The main function of the informative transfer is the transfer of information, data, rather than artistic and aesthetic impacts. Students learn the kinds of informative translation and lexical and grammatical transformations. Discipline Program provides practical exercises and assignments of IWS and office hours.

Course Outline In the course "Technical translation" is not repeated the basics of the theory and practice of translation obtained by the students during the study of discipline "Theory and practice of translation". In this regard, this course has a predominantly practical focus on the development of specific skills of translation of technical texts. As a result of studying the discipline, students should be able to apply in practice basic translation techniques of the linguistic and nonlinguistic (logical, psychological, technical) character used in the translation of texts of scientific and technical literature. Upon completion of the course exam is provided in the form of testing In the classroom outlines a basic theoretical level, illustrated by concrete examples taken from the original technical literature in English. Independent work of students consists mainly in the translation of the texts of scientific-technical literature in Russian and English languages, as well as selecting their own examples to illustrate and other provisions considered in lectures or practical classes. The main task of this translation is a possibly clear and precise knowledge of the rules and schemes of basic skills and methods of conference translation, systemic ways and skills of rendering the language means during translation. This can be achieved by logical interpretation of actual material with explicit emotionality. Course of Simultaneous Translation is an advanced level course for students of specialty Translation Studies. The course aim is to form intercultural communicative competence of students for supplying mutual understanding on the basis of oral translation in the sphere of international, political, economic, scientific and social life.
