• UPS Software supplied with all F6Cxxx series UPS models

• Multi-platform: Windows, Linux, Mac OS9/OSX, Netware, various Unix versions

• Network enabled for management as well as shut-down

• Multi-lingual, languages selectable at installation time

• Can act as SNMP agent

• Can be controlled with Monitor program or via web interface

• Self-tests can be carried out from the Control Menu

• A 10-second test is a basic general health test

• A Deep Battery Test can be carried out to determine the backup time in the setup and to test the condition of the battery

• The two meters in the main screen can be made to show any of these items and more

• When more details are needed, the meter screen can show up to eight



• Configuration is done via the menus in the Configuration screen – the screen itself just shows the current configuration

• The main items in the UPS menu are UPS Property to configure the UPS itself and Action to configure which actions are to be taken on which power events



• By default the COM port is set to Auto and the Service will automatically find the UPS

• All available COM ports on the system can be used as well as USB

• Load Warning and Load Severity are to set the levels at which warnings are sent

• Last battery replacement date is set at software installation; next replacement is set three years in advance

• Advanced settings – available on the NET series only – allow to specify whether the UPS will automatically start when power has returned



• The buttons with tick marks indicate which actions are enabled for the event selected in the list; click the buttons to enable/disable and customise the action

• The check boxes on the right determine which actions will be reset to their default status when Set Default is clicked – the user is prompted if the reset is for the selected event or for all events



•The Email feature can only be used if it is configured properly via Device | Notification Users in the Configuration screen

To use SMTP, specify the SMTP settings:

•Server name or IP address

•SMTP Account is used in the MAIL FROM command

•SMTP Domain is used in the HELO/EHLO command

•To use MAPI make sure an Exchange server is present and all the names are available in the Global Address List



The History option allows graphs to be shown of all UPS monitored data.
