We actively encourage you to use the house and

grounds as your own to make your day just how you

want. Get in touch to talk through any ideas you

have and we’ll help you make the most of the space

and bring your vision to life.

We only hold a small number of weddings a year

to ensure that we can give each one the attention

it deserves. We will be on-hand throughout your

planning and will support you on the day to ensure

you can relax and enjoy yourselves.

Time flies! Many couples choose Bore Place for

their wedding so that their guests can stay overnight

and their celebrations can last for a whole weekend.

We can accommodate 50 guests on-site, with extra

capacity for campers and glampers. All our

accommodation has fully equipped kitchens, dining

rooms and comfortable sitting rooms with access to

the gardens of Bore Place.

RELAxED USE AND FLExIBILITY

DO IT YOUR WAYBore Place lies in the beautiful Kent countryside,

just 25 miles from London. A charming, historic

Jacobean manor house is the focal point of this

rustic country estate. The house is surrounded by

pretty gardens alive with flowers in the summer

months, as well as 500 acres of rolling green fields

and ancient woodlands. A walled garden enclosing

a reflecting ornamental pond creates a stunning

backdrop for your wedding.

SPACES

There are a number of licensed rooms and outdoor spaces

at Bore Place where you can hold your ceremony and all

can be set up exactly how you like. We can also arrange for

a marquee or tipi to be erected in the gardens.

All our spaces are adaptable. Most can be used for

ceremonies as well as the celebrations.

The Hide in Bore Place Garden

The Hide is a magical, idyllic setting for your ceremony,

seating up to 100 guests.

The Large Barn

A restored 17th century timber building, the Large Barn

is a flexible space and makes a perfect venue for a

traditional or vintage style ceremony, seating up to

100 guests.

The Drawing Room

A large, traditionally furnished drawing room with a

stunning open fireplace overlooking pretty organic borders

and beds informally planted around a laid lawn, seating up

to 70 guests.

The Studio

A bright, contemporary paneled room, seating up to 50

guests and with direct access to the enchanting terrace

overlooking the walled garden and ornamental pond.

FOOD

DRINKS

Our kitchen is passionate about simple, well-

balanced food, using seasonal produce from our

own organic farm and market gardens as well as

locally-sourced organic food. We can tailor our

menus to suit your style, budget and any dietary

choices.

You can choose a seasonal menu or something more

informal: a BBQ with the finest local organic meat,

delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes, a hog roast

with our sumptuous salads, or handmade sourdough

pizza cooked to order in our wood-fired oven.

Grazing menus can also be created to include

sharing platters, cheese boards, sliced meats and

dips, accompanied with a selection of our

homemade breads.

You are also welcome to bring in your own caterers

and suppliers.

You can provide your own bar for a nominal corkage

charge. Alternatively, we are also happy to provide a

drinks reception for you and provide a bar serving

locally-sourced cask ales, Fairtrade wines and

organic cordials.

vENUE hIRE INFORmATION

ThE LEGACY OF YOUR DAY…

A typical venue hire is Friday midday–Sunday midday

including accommodation for up to 50 guests with

breakfast of porridge, muesli, eggs, toast, breads and

jam, that guests help themselves to.

We also offer mid-week weddings for a reduced rate.

By holding your wedding at Bore Place, the legacy

of your big day will live on. All profits from

weddings held here are directed straight back into

our educational courses and programmes to support

young people. Bore Place is committed to working

towards being a model of sustainable living, learning

and working. From the energy we use, to the food

we produce and the way we work, Bore Place

challenges conventional ideas and behaviours with

fresh thinking. For us being a ‘not for profit’ is

something we are really proud of and enables us to

lead in the areas of social change we believe in.
