ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY: Miming using word cards of action words done every day .
[eat, sleep, pull ,push, walk, write, read, comb, brush, hug ]
Before class : Preparation of 1.Word cards of action words
2. PPT [On opening click ‘next’ to continue for 1st two slides all others work on mouse click]
3. Printed worksheet for each child with pictures of action words in a
jumbled order. TRANSACTION OF THE LESSON
Pre -listening:
1. Play the mime game with each child picking up word cards , miming to the class to elicit answers.
2. Introduce target vocabulary with PPT 3. Instruct students how to work on the activity sheet when the video
song is played.[Marking the jumbled pictures as sequenced in the song video. ]
While listening:
1. Play the video once for getting familiar with the action words.2. Play it again so that students number the pictures in the order as
hear in the song .
Post listening:
1. Interchange the worksheets and check when the correct sequence is projected again.
2. Use the action words to complete the sentences in the given
exercise.
Now tell the students about the poem ‘RUN’ [class 4 text ]
