Certificated employees must self-report an arrest within 48 hours to their site supervisor.
Once reported, the site supervisor must immediately request a Records Check by calling (305) 995-COPS

Obtain the arrest affidavit from the employee and fax to office of professional standards (OPS).
OPS waits for final Court Disposition
Record Check
Based on nature of arrest and final Court Disposition, OPS addresses disciplinary measures
(if employee has any updates regarding case have them
inform you)
Record Check
If arrest rises to a level that warrants district disciplinary action, OPS will schedule a district level Conference-for-the-Record (CFR)
If arrest does not warrant district disciplinary action, site administrator may effect closure as directed by OPS to:
Schedule a meeting to review report OR Conduct a CFR and implement post
conference measures, as necessary.
