Industry. Being Cost and Management Consultant Mr.

Mr. Sanghavi is a well-known Industrialist, based in Nashik,

Maharashtra. His Industrial Units and exporting goods to

many Countries and has received a “Merit Certifi cate”, for

proven outstanding export of non-traditional items. His

unit is major exporter of capacitor cans & other extruded

products. Mr. Sanghavi is an Advisor and Consultant to

Industries. In advisory capacity he has advised industries

Eligibility Criteria and Scholarship

• Applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with not less

than 45% marks in aggregate for open category, 40% marks in aggregate for reserve category.

• 100% Scholarship for students obtaining above 90% aggregate in 1st year.

• 50% scholarship for students obtaining above 80% aggregate in 1st year.

• 25% scholarship for students obtaining above 70% aggregate in 1st year.

• Other Government Scholarships are available to eligible students.

• Anti-Ragging Measures : Ragging is strictly banned in & outside the campus premises, Departments, Hostels, Sports grounds, Canteen or in College Transports. Anyone found guilty of indulgence in ragging and /or abetting ragging is liable to be punished, appropriately.

• Bus Fees

Bus Fees must be paid in advance. Bus fees is not refundable and non-transferable. Students must carry their bus pass with them while using the bus facility. Students should use only that college bus which is mentioned in the Bus Pass.

• Discipline

Students must observe all discipline rules and regulations as prescribed by the Institute from time-to-time. They are required to put in minimum 85% attendance for Theory periods and 100% attendance for Practical, without which they will not be allowed to appear for the Board Examination. Permission for Absenteeism is must.

• Fees

The Fees for the Courses will be as prescribed by the Shikshan Shulk Samitee. Admission shall be confi rmed only after payment of fees.

The InstituteShree Mahavir Education Society’s Institute

of Technology, Polytechnic is a Technical Institute

recognised by All India Council of Technical

Education (Government of Maharashtra) and is

affi liated to the Board of Technical Education,

Mumbai. SMES is a registered Trust with the Charity

Commissioner under Society’s Act.

The institute at present offers three year full

time courses leading to Diploma in Engineering.

The total intake capacity of the Institute is 819

students.

SMES has promoted this Polytechnic in 1999

with an aim to make vocational and technical

education available to large sections of population

and to pay special attention to the needs of the

disadvantaged groups, in particular, people in rural

areas.

The College Campus is located on a 27 acres

land at Varavandi, on the edge of the Corporation

limits of Nashik, which is approximately 7 KM away

from the City. The campus has clean and healthy

environment. This campus is developing fast to

enhance the existing facilities and to add further

Admission is awarded to a Student considering the marks obtained in English, Mathematics and Science at S.S.C. Level or High School Exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination (M.S) & its equivalent.

• 35% Minimum Marks in S.S.C for All Category

• Direct 2nd Year admission to ITI/ MCVC Students minimum 60% marks

Admission are done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as well as direct Admissions (Management Quota) are also carried out.

• Direct 2nd Year admission to H.S.C. pass with PCM

Fees

The Fees for the Courses will be as prescribed by the Shikshan Shulk Samitee. Admission shall be confi rmed only after payment of fees.

Outside Maharashtra Students

The students from outside Maharashtra will be required to obtain eligibility Certifi cate from the Board ( through this College) after their admission within 15 days.

Scholarship

Scholarship is available to the students, who fulfi l the requirements / criteria decided by the Maharashtra Government. To be eligible for the scholarship duly fi lled in application with Original Documents must be submitted at the time of admission only.

Scholarship will be distributed on 90% attendance and passing in all subjects.

Tuition Fee Wavier Scheme

Apart from the existing intake capacity in above Diploma Disciplines intake capacity is increased under AICTE’s Tuition Fee Wavier Scheme and Guidelines No.37-03/Legal 2007 dated 09.04.2007. Under this Scheme, Meritorious students from the Category of; i) Women, ii) Economically Weaker Section of the Society & iii)Physically handicapped Candidates will be selected as per the ‘Competent-Authority’ for Admission Norms. Such selected students will not be charged ‘Tuition Fees’ as decided by the State Government.

Bus Fees

Admission to Pharmacy Courses

Course Intake DurationDiploma in Pharmacy 60 2 Years

1. Admissions are awarded to candidates considering the marks obtained in the 12th standard (H.S.C, Science) level exam conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent as may be recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India.

2. Admission to pharmacy Courses are open to all candidates who are Indian National and have studied in Maharashtra for the last two academic year as well as sons/daughters/spouse of the employees of Government of India or Central government undertaking considering that such candidates shall be domiciled in any States/Union Territory, but he has been transferred to Maharashtra within academic years have joined the jobs and have not been transferred out of Maharashtra. The duration of two years shall be conducted prior to the last date of receipt of application.

3. Reservation for backward Classes, handicapped and under privilege and weaker section of the society are as per the Government Rules.

Application & Documents Required for D. Pharmacy

For all Candidates

1. A medical certifi cate in original prescribed proforma.

2. Certifi cate of passing of the qualifying examination (i.e. 12th Std. or its equivalent examination and true copy of the mark sheet).

3. School/Institute leaving certifi cate (After qualifying exam)

4. If the date of birth is not mentioned in the school or institute leaving certifi cate then submit certifi cate of Birth.

5. Backward Class (from Maharashtra State) State the authority from which the certifi cate is produced.

6. Economically backward class – Income Certifi cate.

7. Copies of the certifi cates to the application form should be attested by Head Master/Principal of the school/Institute or a Gazette Offi cer or Special Executive Magistrate. Original Certifi cates, if attached to the application, will not be returned. Original Certifi cates will have to be produced at the time of scrutiny of application prior to admission.

8. Application for admission will not be considered unless it is

• Properly and correctly fi lled in.

A wise man will make more opportunities than he fi nds.

• Unless accompanied by attested copies of the requisite certifi cate in support of the claims made in the application form.

• Received in the offi ce of the proper authority on or before last date and time prescribed

Procedure & Selection for Admission

Selection for admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit of the candidate and eligibility is based on aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

Total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics on Satisfaction of condition of eligibility given in clauses one for diploma course in Pharmacy.

The admission are provisional and are subject to approval and conformation from department of Technical Education, Mumbai. The eligibility of the candidate is fi nally decided by the Board of Technical Examination, Mumbai.

Fees

The fees for the course will be as prescribed by Government from time to time. Admission shall be confi rmed only after payment of fees.

Conduct and Discipline

• Students while studying in the Institute if found Anti-National Activities contrary to provision of acts and law enforced by Government will be expelled from the institute without any notice by the principal and the decision of the principal is fi nal.

• The candidates on admission shall be governed by rules and regulations of the institute.

• Students are required to observe all the rules and regulation as required by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. They are required to put in minimum 85% attendance for theory period and 100% attendance for practical without which, they will not be allowed to appear for Board Exam.
