The inherent capacity for

growth or coming into being.

Possessing the capacity for growth and

development.

If potential had a voice, what would it say?

“I have an inherent capacity for growth, and I posses the ability to bring

development into demonstration.”

“I am often known as concealed power ready to emerge’ yet cannot emerge until faith and application embraces

me.”

“My greatest fear is to die in a human unused

and undeveloped.”

POTENTIAL

Every student leader must understand that regardless of their present

circumstances, whether it is crime in the neighborhood, struggles at school, or hard times living as a single parent

at home, the possibility to overcome the odds are

obtainable. Greatness believes in the best possible

outcome, in spite of impossible circumstances [Sc].

POTENTIAL

The First English men who settled in Jamestown, Virginia in 1607

did not know how to live in the wilderness. They did not expect the

misery that was discovered in Virginia.

The settlers suffered from hunger exposure and disease.

When the food they brought from England ran out, many died.

They did not know how to hunt in American forests, even though the

forest was filled with game.

Most of their time was wasted looking for gold, and as a result, they

were distracted from what was most essential. What they came to

conquer, conquered them.

They did not know how to survive in their environment of drugs, crime, pregnancy, prison…

What would you have done to survive?

Take three minutes and write down the names of people you know in your neighborhood,

friends, or associates, that allowed the hood, neighborhood, family and financial struggles get the best of them and as a

result, in prison, dead, drugs Etc.
