James Prescott Joule

The way he discovered that heat was a type of energy, what that he was studying the relationships between, work, and temperature, and experimenting with fluids such as water. When the fluid became agitated, the temperature increased. Mechanical energy turned into thermal energy.

James Prescott Joule

He is now one of the most famous scientists in history. When thermal technology is being discussed, James always comes up!

Where is it seen in nature and man-made surroundings?

Thermal energy has three simple step. They Conduction, convection, and radiation.

Thermal…

Thermal imaging is an example of thermal technology. Other examples of machines used are: Turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps, heating systems, compressors, and jet engines.

How is it applied in the designed world?

Thermal technology is thermal energy, which is helped to create machines.
