Some facts about

mooses…Mooses are the largest of all

the deer species.

They are powerful, they have a big antlers and a soft wool.

You may think they are deers, but they aren’t.

They have four big feet and brown coat.

They eat grass and shrubs.

They have a big nose and little tail.

They live in forests.

Did you know?*The moose has an average lifespan of 8 to 12 years in the wild.

*Moose are solitary animals.

*Adult males, called bulls, bellow loudly to attract mates.

*Males have wide antlers that can measure up to 2 meters in width

Female moose give birth to one or two calves in the spring. Calves weigh about 14 kilograms (30 pounds) at birth. The young calves hang out with the mother

and grow quickly over the first year.
