FILL TO BOTTOM OF GAS TANKFILLER NECK. DO NOT OVERFILL.WIPE OFF ANY SPILLED OiL OR FUEL.DO NOT STORE, SPILL OR USE GASO-LINE NEAR AN OPEN FLAME.
CAUTION: EXPERIENCE INDICATES THAT ALCOHOLBLENDED FUELS (CALLED GASOHOL ORUSING ETHANOL OR METHANOL) CAN AT-TRACT MOISTURE WHICH LEADS TOSEPARATION AND FORMATION OF ACIDSDURING STORAGE. ACIDIC GAS CANDAMAGE THE FUEL SYSTEM OF ANY EN-GINE WHILE IN STORAGE.
TO AVOID ENGINE PROBLEMS, THE FUELSYSTEM SHOULD BE EMPTIED BEFORESTORAGE FOR 30 DAYS OR LONGER.DRAIN THE GAS TANK, START THE EN-GINE AND LET iT RUN UNTIL THE FUELLINES AND CARBURETOR ARE EMPTY.USE FRESH FUEL NEXT SEASON. SEESTORAGE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADDI°TIONAL iNFORMATION.
NEVER USE ENGINE OR CARBURETORCLEANER PRODUCTS iN THE FUEL TANKOR PERMANENT DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.

5. Mowing Tips
NOTE: TiRE CHAINS CANNOT BE USED WITH THEMOWER ATTACHED.
a. Mower should be adjusted properly front to backand side to side for good mowing performance. Re-fer to REPAIR AND ADJUSTMENT section (page22).
b. Use the runner on the R.H. side as a guide; theblade cuts approximately an inch (2.54 cm) outsidethe runner (Fig. 8).
c. Drive so that clippings are discharged onto the areathat has been cut. Have the cut area to the right ofthe machine. This will result ina more even distribu-tion of clippings and more uniform cutting.
d. When mowing large areas (Fig. 9), start by turningto the right so that the clippings will discharge awayfrom shrubs, fences, driveways, etc. After two orthree rounds, mow in the opposite direction makingleft hand turns until finished.
e. If grass is extremely tall, it should be mowed twice. The first time cut relatively high; the second time tothe desired height.
f. The left hand side of mower should be used for trim-ming.
g, See Speed Selection Guide.

26. Storage
3,
4.
Remove mower from tractor for winter storage. Whenmower is to be stored for a period of time, clean it thoroughly, remove all dirt, grease, leaves, etc.Give blades and under-side of housing a good coat of grease or rust preventative.Store in a clean dry area.
A. Fuel System
it is important to prevent gum deposits from forming in es-sential fuel system parts such as the carburetor, fuel filter, fuel hose, or tank during storage. Also, experience indicatesthat alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol ormethanol) can attract moisture which leads to separationand formation of acids during storage. Acidic gas can dam-age the fuel system of an engine while in storage. To avoidengine problems, the fuel system should be emptied beforestorage of 30 days or longer.
B. Engine Oil
Drain (with engine warm) and replace with clean engine oil,(See chart page 16).
C. Cylinder1. Remove spark plug.2. Pour one ounce (29.5 ml) of oil through spark
