• The Zebra ZXP Series 8 card printers use reverse transfer printing technology – retransfer printing – to create photo-quality and edge-to-edge images on plastic identification cards

• Zebra’s retransfer printer provides the fastest throughput on the market, and a range of encoding options for a variety of markets and applications

• Available in single- or dual-sided printing• Available with single- or dual-sided lamination*• ZMotif – XML standard-based management software

Retransfer Printing Technology

• Retransfer printing is superior to direct-to-card printing (printing the image directly on the card) through a process called reverse thermal image transfer

• The quality of the card image is improved greatly by printing on a transparent transfer film or InTM (intermediate) film that is then thermally bonded to the card
