interment.Adam Brooks
Zoos are the ultimate learning experience. Fun and educational.
Total number of zoos in the U.S. – 355
There are over 2,800 zoos and aquariums total in the
world today.As many as 400,000
student will visit any one zoo annually.
Up to 1,000,000 visitors can visit one park alone in one
year.
Certain zoos are currently doing research to help find
ways to prevent animals from going extinct.
Reasons behind keeping
zoos open• Breeding of endangered
animals.• Bringing education and
knowledge to the general public.
• Raising money to protect these animals.
• Preserving these animals in zoos and the others of the species in the wild.
The other side• Many people see zoos as interment camps
for animals. • Animals are:
• Underfed• Abused• Neglected• illegally sold• Unethical care
Those places are not zoos. They just call themselves
zoos.
Zookeepers care for the animals that are
in their care They are like children Put the animals in
their care first
Protection of animals and the
guests Practice escaped
animal drills Ensure everything is
safe for visitors Safety is always the
number one priority.
