ZONE 2 FLAME PROTECTED ENGINESDiesel engines operating in Zone 2 hazardous areas present a risk of explosion – the total solution for diesel engine safety begins here.

The Power Torque Range of Flame Protected Diesel Engines operate below 200°c. This lower operating temperature, combined with additional shut down features, means that Power Torque engines are designed to be used in areas where there is a strong potential explosion hazard.

Power Torque’s range of flame protected engines are designed specifically to meet the European ATEX Directive Zone 2 requirements, as well as the following key safety standards:

The units are therefore particularly suitable for the following applications, in Zone 2 classified areas:

Power to talk about

• Oil and gas• Paint, chemicals and solvents• Dust

• Pharmaceuticals• Airfields• Munitions Stores

Power Torque flame protected engines have had a 20 year market presence, demonstrating the company’s knowledge and understanding of this market place. In particular their units have undergone regular updates to ensure that they remain at the forefront of this market place in terms of:

• Engineering• Design• Safety

• Cost eectiveness• Technical Support

• ATEX (94/9/EEC)• EEMUA No 107 (1992)• OCMA-MEC 1• BP 200• Lloyds Open Deck Zone 2 areas

Incorporating:

• Lloyds Open Deck Zone 2 areas• BS5908 Zone 1 & 2, BP200• Shell ISO 27• Chevron

RANGEUsing their engineering expertise, Power Torque engineers work in conjunction with selected technical partners and leading diesel engine manufacturers, JCB Power Systems and AGCO Sisu Power, to develop suitable packages. The combination of Power Torque’s design, development and packaging skill together with top quality base engines from JCB Power Systems and AGCO Sisu Power, produces an engine that makes it a leader in this market place.

Moreover because of their engineering skill and the fact that every unit is individually produced and then checked in-house to be sure that it will perform, Power Torque can tailor units to bespoke requirements.

This approach also means that with the usage of computer aided design technology in the design of Power Torque’s units, CAD installation drawings are also available for all units within the range.

Each unit also comes with maintenance instructions and a comprehensive documentation package.

The range comprises of:

PP854 Based on the JCB Dieselmax 444 Naturally

Aspirated Engine. Maximum power 63kW (85HP) at 2200 rpm. Maximum torque 320Nm at 1300 rpm.

PP1254 Based on the JCB Dieselmax 444TCA

Turbocharged and Intercooled Engine. Maximum power 93kW (125HP) at 2200 rpm. Maximum torque 518Nm at 1750rpm.

PP1604 Based on the JCB Dieselmax 444TCA-E common

rail turbocharged and intercooled engine. Maximum power 120kW (160HP) at 2200rpm. Maximum torque 657Nm at 1500rpm.

PP2006 Based on the AGCO Sisu 74CTA common rail

turbocharged and intercooled engine. Maximum power 150kW (200HP) at 2000 rpm. Maximum torque 825Nm at 1430 rpm.

BASE ENGINE PROFILEPower Torque have a stringent base engine selection process and build their flame protected packages using high quality base diesel engines.

The JCB Dieselmax range has always been at the cutting edge of technology. Specifically designed for the construction market there are models in the range to suit both emerging markets and the most stringent emissions controlled territories. This gives the user peace of mind that they can select a product that will satisfy machine and market demands for years to come.

The Sisu range have a well proven base engine design that is enhanced by the latest technology common rail diesel fuel systems. Well respected for their durability, they are also renowned for their quiet and smooth running characteristics.

Added to this peace of mind is the fact that the engine has been designed to oer the ultimate in durability and reliability, the aim being to give it a long ecient service life. The result: A hassle free unit, which will provide a positive contribution to the performance of the environment in which it is to operate.

APPLICATIONSThe Power Torque range of protected engines may be used for any of the following:

Hydraulic Power Packs Air Compressors High Pressure Water Jetting Wireline Winches Coil Tubing Units Nitrogen Units Generators Cranes

SERVICEOur fully trained technicians are available for servicing any power pack that we supply. This can be on site or we can generally accommodate the complete machine at our premises.
