Z-Flo Information What is Z-Flo A Z-Flo is made to help maintain a specific position. It does not flatten with gravity and does not go back to an original shape. How to use a Z-Flo Place the Z-Floin the center of the specific body section you are going to position. o Press in from the perimeter of the Z-Floto maximize the contouring and support. o When a person moves, the Z-Flo™ should be flattened and re-shaped. The Z-Flo™ should be covered by a thin layer of linen or cloth, such as, a pillow case. The Z-Flo™ may be used at home only for a person who is older than 1 year. It should not be used as a toy. DO NOT place a person face down on the positioner because of risk of suffocation. DO NOT use a torn or damaged Z-Flo™. The Z-Flo™ should be thrown away when it is not able to hold its shape, when there are large air pockets that form inside it, or it is torn or damaged. Cleaning Instructions Clean using disinfectant wipes. Flatten the Z-Flo™ to remove the wrinkles and create a smooth cleaning surface. Wipe it to remove any visible soiling and clean the surface. Occipital Offloading and Positioning

▪ Positioner, T6, Z-Flo; PS# 91354

• Mark with patients name and date

• Cover with a pillowcase, or sheet

• After positioning/turning the patient, MOLD the positioner to the redistribute pressure

• Make sure that the “U” shaped side is place between the shoulder blades and/or centered on the spine/neck.

• Send with the patient, upon transfer to another floor/unit and/or home
