LookApp is a recently introduced app offered by Megamind Corporation. Megamind Corporation is an app developing company that is dedicated to lead in customer service. Students from University of Santo Tomas namely Liezyl Dela Cruz, Von Justin Mag-isa, Denver Medina and Alyssa Rivera are the founders of the Megamind Corp. The founders are said to be new to the app developing industry but this new application, the LookApp, is believe to greatly affect the technopreneurship world in the future because of its innovative idea and design.

Because Megamind Corporation values every lives, we offer you our product, the LookApp. LookApp is made to help people who currently experiencing depression, who at the moment feel so helpless, those who are troublesome and those who feel stress due to different circumstances. Currently, LookApp is tailored to people who are currently have their issues emotionally and psychologically. In expanding our product, the group also targeted those people who just want to share their currently situation.

We, the Megamind Corporation, have developed a two way interaction between you and your smartphones. LookApp will be your newest counselor, teacher and also your best buddy. This app contains 4 main features which are the bible passages with prayer guide, quotations, open forums and talk to an expert which serves as the suicide hotline. This app is not only good for depressed people but for everyone who want to share and express their thoughts and insights through talking to other people with the same situation as them. This will also not be a religion biased app for it still have different features wherein you can relate your feeling through reading quotations. And mainly, this app will save lives for it can help people with a suicidal attempting condition by contacting the expert or by connecting the user to the suicide hotline.

The LookApp founders are also a group of individual who have a brilliant and creative minds. They may seem young and new entrepreneurs but these individuals are highly intelligent in the field of science and mathematics. These young entrepreneurs are also chemical engineering student who involves in different researches and studies like environmental issues, plant design, unit operations optimization and so forth. All members of the team have done numerous amounts of researches and have a considerable amount of knowledge of the industry and our product. For further development, the founders are open to different firms as long as we satisfy the needs and wants of our consumers. It may be hard for the company to compete with the others because of millions of applications available on the market today but we’re still believing that alongside with the industry of app development our app will also reach the top because we are not only offering the people what they need but also best.

Our goal is to create an amazing user experience and personality which can help people’s lives in the long run. We research the app marketplace and size up the competition. We ensure our customers are given the best path to success and through collaboration our company will bring an idea to life.

Business Philosophy: What is important to you in business?Primarily, we plan to give our product to people that suffers from depression and those who are tired every day. From then on we plan to evolve our product to fit the different needs of people we encounter. We are in fact an app developing company and Mega Mind will serve as a superb foundation to change and tweak as we see fit in order to best serve the people.

The target market for the LookApp is for those people who suffer from depression, and those who are stressed every single day.

Megamind’s strength and core competencies are the care for people that suffers depression and Mega Mind will succeed because of the numbers growing day by day. The competitive strength will come from the Word of God that is a feature of the application.

Look App is a helpful mobile application that focuses on exercising the power of motivating and guiding people emotionally and spiritually in their everyday lives. Look App also promotes suicide awareness especially for teenagers by providing a suicide hotline inside the application. Most of the motivational words came from the Bible and Look App has the ability to convert the passages into quotations in layman’s term that makes it also accessible for people from other religions.

In desperate situations, Look App provides a link between the user and the expert (i.e. counselor, psychologist, priest, etc.) for an instant guidance. ‘Talk to the expert’ hotline is available on Look App Premium for only 5 dollars per call with no time limit. This can be also available in conversation via messaging for only 3 dollar per 100 replies. The user can also join forums that talks about the same struggle the user is going through.

LookApp is because suicide rates and depression is a constant threat to society’s well-being (World Health Organization, 2012). In developing this app the effectiveness of the mood of the person will be a great advantage. Currently there are mood tracking apps in the market but they are not aimed towards the holistic approach of an individual’s inner peace. There are apps tracks your mood like Diary – Mood Tracker, there are apps that allows you to record your daily mood, a photo, a video, the weather, and a description of your day. There are millions of apps in the market but during our research process we did not find any apps guided towards the spiritual growth of an individual.

Having a login page for each individual is an important feature of the app because each individual already has their own personal reflection needs in the profile. For example, if the patient is sad throughout the day, the app will give that certain individual a specific bible verse. The app being available in different languages is another important feature because the app will be able to usable by different users.

CustomersOur clientele would consist of everyone that has a smart phone so that it is readily available for them to access the application. We will start to market the app LookApp in the Google Play store and expand from there. The app has to be presentable and easy to use for the people across the globe. The major competitors that have similar services and great products but they do not offer what we offer. Look app can be used help people who are stressed in their everyday lives so that they can monitor their feelings and can approach help as soon as possible. Look App is still unique because the app is based by the help from the bible and from other religious sects.

NicheOur company and product will be a single unique product; there is no other like it in the market. Look app is a great application for people who are stressed and would want to manage their emotions in a day by day basis.

Promotion Our main tool will be a word of mouth people. If one person uses that app and then a week or two another one uses it someone would ask something like “Do I use LookApp to monitor my feelings or stress level right now?” That is where the conversation would begin and will be one way to expand our app to other people. We will also use advertisements play store; we will also network with other major applications and grow our contacts as our business grows. We already have a company logo as seen on the first page and our app icon logo is finished and shown in the appendix.

Advertising MegaMind will be using posters and brochures to spread the word about LookApp to other people. We will also be reaching out to people who are stressed in the area and set up meeting to grow the selling of the app.

ImageThe image App Attack wants to put out an image of a professional, reliable, and simplistic company (App Attack Capstone Team). We want customers to see those three values in us and want to do business with us and be a loyal customer.

Proposed LocationAs the MegaMind Company we do not have a precise location picked out for our company at this time. We would need a location with enough room for our employees and space for the coding department, a space for the design department, and a space for the marketing department. Our location would be semi-important to our clients it will be a place to come for meetings to discuss the app. Our location would just be a place for the employees to complete their work and for potential clients to meet with our company.

VI. Operational Plan

These are the daily operations for Look App, its location, equipment, people, processes, and surrounding environment.

Production The app will be developed in the company’s facility through our design and coding departments. Asus laptop computers were used to program the app and printer paper was used by the design team to actually design the interface of the app.

LocationLook App is in need of a location that is in a creative environment but also professional. We need enough space for each of our departments to work on the projects. We would like our main and official office to be located in Makati. We would need enough space for each of our departments to work comfortably. Look App would prefer to have a floor in a high rise building and preferably have the building offer Wi-Fi. There will be 8-hour operation per day.

Personnel Number of employees- minimum of 15 people Type of labor will be skilled in different areas. We will find employees in different ways, for example newspaper ads,

social media sites, billboards, and other form of advertisements Quality of existing staff is in a good starting place. We will need to

expand our staff as our business continues to go. We will accept on-the-job trainings for information technology and

VII. Management and Organization

MegaMind Corp. will be managed by the Executive Directors and the Managing Directors of each Department. Each individual in those positions should have leadership experience, they need to bring timekeeping skills, and they should bring creativity to their job. The organization will follow Central structure.

Design DepartmentIn this sector, employees are in charge of creating the designs of the app and getting them approved by the Managing Director of their department.

Marketing DepartmentIn this sector, employees are in charge of setting up meetings to sell the app. They are in charge of brainstorming and finding ways to advertise and distribute the app. They are also in charge of the financial sector of the company which includes the budget.

Engineering DepartmentEmployees in this sector are in charge of the development of the app, programming, and conducting test runs before the launch of the app.

Legal Department Provide business permit from the Bureau of Internal Revenue and

DTI. Installation necessary safety equipment within the premises. Look App will be patented and be used as our trademark locally

and internationally.

VIII.Startup Expenses and Capitalization

In producing the app, LookApp, the total expense in the first year would be estimated $2025. This estimation is based on costing of submission of the app on Google store, for development cost, and for the design cost. This estimation was based on the current pricing of starting an app. For the development of the said app, it will cost for roughly around $1500 (Varshneya, 2013). The design cost for later innovation of the said app will be roughly around $500 (Skreech, 2014). For submission of the app on Google store, annual app store fees of $99 for Apple and $25 for Google upon registration. LookApp will be available for Google store first upon marketing (Skreech, 2014).
