OUR HISTORY

YSCO GEOMATICS has operated for nearly

thirty years, orig inally as Youdale

Strudwick & Co. Pty. Ltd., until mid 1999. It

was formed by the amalgamation of two

Land Surveying practices. The individual

practices had each been active in the Land

Development Industry since 1980.

The company was established to provide a

wide variety of consulting services in land

development, and has grown into a

medium sized land resource consultancy

providing quality expertise in Urban &

E n v i r o n m e n t a l P l a n n i n g , P r o j e c t

Management, Geomatic Engineering, Soil

and Water Management, and Land &

Engineering Surveying.

YSCO GEOMATICS is well established as a

respected consultancy to the Land

Development and Land Inform ation

industries. Its directors and employees

have a depth of knowledge and experience

that can only be established after many

years in the industry. YSCO Geomatics

offers a level of expertise that is rare in

today’s consultancy environment.

OUR PRINCIPALS

PHILIP YOUDALE has a Bachelor of

Surveying D egree (1979) from the

University of New South Wales, is a

Registered Surveyor, and has completed

further studies in Strata Title Management,

Sediment and Erosion Control (Certificate

in Soil and Water Management - UWS) and

related development techniques.

He has had extensive experience in

medium to high density residential

development including establishment of

alternative ownership concepts and

maintenance of development character

through the establishment of various By-

Laws and Community Associations.

Philip has also worked within Germany

and Canada, and has had a wide exposure

to planning concepts utilised in other

countries.

PETER NOEL STRUDWICK has a Bachelor

of Surveying Degree with Honours (1979)

from the University of New South Wales,

specialising in Land Inventory and

Development, and is a Registered

Surveyor. He has also gained a Post

Graduate Diploma in Urban Studies (1988)

from M acqu arie U nivers ity and a

Certificate in Soil and Water Management

for Urban Development (1998) from the

University of Western Sydney.

He has had extensive experience in urban

planning and land development. In the

past he has been engaged as an "in

house" consultant to the NSW Department

of Housing and Landcom, acting as a

technical consultant to the Development

Group and providing planning input to the

Urban Consolidation Group in the mid

1980s.

Peter has acted for Landcom, as an

e x t e r n a l c o n s u l t a n t i n P r o j e c t

M anagement, Feasibility Assessment,

Development Planning, Civil Design and

Surveying since the late 1980s.

In addition to Peter’s involvement with

Government Departments he has provided

continual planning input to private

development organisations including

Devcon Pty. Ltd, Balmain Property Trust,

Lend Lease and Westfield Developments.

RODNEY WORTHINGTON has a Bachelor

of Surveying Degree (1987) from the

University of New South Wales and Master

of Planning Degree (2001) from the

University of Technology. Rodney is a

Registered Surveyor.

He has had wide experience in the

development industry, including the

project m anagement, planning, civil

design and surveying for:

* High Rise CBD Developments,

* Urban and rural subdivision,

* Relocatable Home Parks.

Rodney has been a director of YSCO

Geomatics since 1998.

including 6 professional Geomatic Engineers

ensure clients interact with experienced

senior personnel at all times and that a quality

product is always delivered.

Management and computer facilities are

located in the Sydney suburb of Artarmon.

The company operates a complete range of

state of the art electronic equipment,

including;

- Robotic and GPS field survey

equipment,

- Landmark 15 (Full Package) and

AUTOCAD 2015 CADD Software,

- Large format colour printing,

- Field to office electronic data

collection,

- Broadband communications.

YSCO GEOMATICS has a commitment to

excellence and has established Quality

Assurance documentation, as a requirement

of its engagement by the NSW Department

of Commerce - Office of Public Works and

Services.

The Principals have a firm policy that at

least one Director is personally involved in

every project undertaken by the

organisation and that the participation

extends beyond simple supervision.

This policy guarantees the prompt

resolution of any issues that may arise

during the course of a project. It also

ensures the availability of experienced

senior personnel for completion of tasks

and maintains a quality of output not

available in larger organisations.

OUR PROJECTS

The company has been responsible for the

Planning, Design and Delivery of over 2000

residential and industrial sites, in 25

projects in the Greater Sydney Metro area,

in the last 15 years. These developments

have an estimated total net project value

of over $0.5 billion (in 2012 dollars) and a

construction value in excess of $200

million (in 2012 dollars).

Landcom’s Garden Gates Estate, which

forms part of the project portfolio of

YSCO Geomatics, has yielded in excess of

1200 lots under the design, management

and delivery of YSCO Geomatics. Inaddition to land subdivision, YSCO

Geomatics is regularly called upon to

provide technical advice in

commercial/industrial projects, including

Sydney Water Potts Hill Residential

Redevelopment, Quakers Hill High School,

210 George Street, and 7 Macquarie Place,

Sydney (High Rise), Sydney Opera House

Forecourt and Seawall Re-construction

and BlueScope’s Sydney Mini Mill, Rooty

Hill, in it’s list of successfully completed

works.
