As we roll into 2017, we look forward to what is ahead for our
firm and, most important, our clients. Expanding and growing
brands, businesses and franchise systems is key and part of
every businesses growth strategy needs to be year end/new year
strategic planning.

From a strategic planning perspective, understanding your why,
the core values of your business and the mission is critical. So one
area that our team has been focusing on is our why.
Why does our Business Exist?
What Special Purpose Does our Business Serve?
What would the Market Miss if our Business No Longer Existed?
These are some powerful questions and if your business doesn’t
serve a special role to your customers, clients and employees,
then an evaluation of what your business does and how it does
it is in order. To be certain, this will always be a work in progress
(something we are working on) - may evolve and your customer
service and experience must continuously improved. It is critical
that you understand your businesses why.
So, what is our Why? Why Do We Exist? and What Would the
Market Miss if We Ceased To Exist? Since this newsletter is all
about sharing and accountability, here goes:

This past December our team completed our own strategic
planning meetings where our focus was on creating a framework
for achieving 1% improvement every day, implementing new
systems for client services and refining our client base to those
entrepreneurs, founders and leaders intent on building their
brand and business.

ecomaids: OPENING OUR FIRST CORPORATE LOCATION
What started as an amazing journey a few years ago
continues for our firm and our ecomaids team. This
past year our team met to discuss the next steps in the
ecomaids brand and building a world class system.
Led by my partners Ilana Sable and Brian Lincer, one thing
became crystal clear - that we needed to put ourselves in the
same shoes as our current and future franchisees and that
now (2017) is the time to open our first corporate ecomaids
location. I am extremely proud to announce that as of this past
December our team has opened ecomaids of DUMBO located in
Brooklyn, NY (by the way “DUMBO” stands for Down Under the
Manhattan Bridge Overpass). Ilana will be managing the day-
to-day operations of our corporate location and our franchise
company.
Some of the Steps we Have Taken in Launching ecomaids of
DUMBO:
• Establishing a corporate location within a densely populated
market;
• Establishing our ecomaids facility exactly to the specifications
that we recommend for our franchisees;
• Leasing a branded vehicle for transporting cleaning
technicians;
• Conducting extensive SEO audits as we establish the digital
media supporting this corporate location;
• Operating the corporate location with a primary focus on staff
recruitment, training and customer satisfaction.

NEW BUSINESS
Victoria Gracia (our Director of Franchisee Support at ecomaids)
and Melissa Blinkoff (our Director of Client Development at
our law firm) internally redesigned and re-launched the entire
ecomaids website (www.ecomaids.com), including our SEO and
development of our franchisee location pages.
We are proud that our internal team did such a great job and...
version 2.0 is just around the corner...
Most important of all, establishing our corporate ecomaids
location is an action that is consistent with our Why and our
core values. We are committed to our franchisees, the ecomaids
franchise system and, at the law firm, knowing to our core
exactly what our clients experience. Here’s to 2017 and some
great things...Also we look forward to sharing with you our
experiences (setbacks, successes and wins) as we grow ecomaids
into a home cleaning company that redefines an industry.

To be sure, this is a work in progress and no better way to create some more accountability than to publish our why and if we fall short
to be accountable and called out on it. So, more importantly, what’s your WHY and how are you making your organization accountable for it?
OUR 2017 STRATEGIC GOALS (WHAT ARE YOURS?)
Learning from our 2016 setbacks, some of the steps that we have included the
following in our strategic plan for 2017:
1. Setting Clear 2017 Strategic Goals - We set real, measurable goals that we
will continuously monitor quarterly.
2. Sticking to a Budget - We implemented deeper budgeting discipline to
honor and respect the impact that cash flow has on every business and future
growth.
3. Team Education Seminars - We created a “question box” that will focus on topics that our team members want more education
on.
4. Clients who Share our Values - We will only on-board new clients who share our values and who are committed “brand and
business building”.
5. Improve 1% Daily - We will continuously implement action items to improve our client services 1% every day. We have put detail
into this plan and have set up quarterly goals and tasks.
6. Create an Unmatched Value - We will ensure that our real world ecomaids franchise and brand building experience, setbacks
and successes bleed into every service that we deliver and create an uncompromising and unmatched value to our clients.
For all of the entrepreneurs, clients, brands and friends who have trusted and relied on us in 2016 thank you!
