TEN THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT UIC OPEN HOUSE

1 A free, annual event, UIC Open House is our signature drop-in program open to everyone.

2 The 2019 UIC Open House event is September 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with department-specific programs happening until the 2 o’clock hour.

3 Sessions will cover everything from mock classes and campus tours to one-on-one meetings with financial aid.

4 The program includes the UIC Expo, a chance to speak one-on-one to representatives of more than 100 departments, colleges, student organizations, and offices dedicated to UIC success.

5 Guests can build a personalized schedule for the day based on their interests.

6

6 Visit our website at openhouse.uic.edu for a map, directory and itinerary creator.

7 UIC Open House is organized by the university’s Office of Academic and Enrollment Services with many partnering colleges and departments.

8 Follow UIC Admissions on Facebook (@gouic), Twitter and Instagram (@apply2uic) for live updates, reminders and a recap

of the event.

9 Use the hashtag #UICOH to share your experience. Show your post to an admissions staff member for free UIC gear at tables 70 and 71 as part of the UIC Expo.

WE’RE DOING BIG THINGS. AT UIC OPEN HOUSE, WE WANT TO SHOW YOU.The University of Illinois at Chicago is an acclaimed research institution located just minutes from the heart of downtown. Sixteen academic colleges, 30,000 students, 3,000 faculty members, and a full hospital and health sciences system on our campus share one mission: to create and share knowledge while doing good and giving back.

For that reason, UIC proudly conducts $348 million in sponsoredresearch led by experts who shape things like public policy, economics, and health care in places as close as Pilsen and as far as Antarctica. Students here also enjoy an 19:1 student-to-teacher ratio, which means they learn and work alongside these world renowned experts.

Altogether, our community is proudly recognized as one of the most ethnically and culturally rich college campuses in America. We boast other top rankings and awards, too, in educational quality, academics, affordability, accessibility, environmental achievements, service, social justice, and more.

Learn more about UIC at uic.edu. To apply to undergraduate or graduate programs, visit admissions.uic.edu.
