Morning Worship ServiceEvery morning at 9 AM, we will have the Morning Worship ServiceThe Morning Show will involve our creative way with starting off the daywith the right attitude. In addition to having fun, there will also be a timeof worship and morning devotion, all led by Crossroads Staff.

Evening Worship ServiceEach evening, at 7 PM, we will have our time of corporate worship.Clayton King, Sharie King, and guest teachers will be bringing the Word. Each year, we see students saved, discipled, and called to ministry at theseservices. We will also be serving the Lord’s Supper on Thursday night. Though we will be sharing the heart of this tradition, we encourage you to talk with your leaders about why we take communion as believers.

Church Group TimeImmediately following the evening worship service, you and your groupwill have the opportunity to gather together for your own personal time.Your leaders will determine what this time will look like for your group.

Weekly OfferingEvery year at Crossroads Summer Camp, we take up a Love Offeringfor Missions. 100% of the money recieved in this offering will go towardsoutreach oppotunities. Clayton challenges every student and adult to pray about giving $25, but he ultimately asks for everyone to be obedient to whatthe Lord wants you to give.

Last WordEvery night, following your Church Group Time, there will be a time of excitingand meaningful worship and scripture reading we like to call, “ Last Word”.This will be a time led by our Staff to reflect on the day and have our “last words”be to the Lord. Last Word is our initiative to provide churches with a worship experience they could tangibly bring home. It is a resource for churches onhow to creatively worship together in small gatherings.

Crossroads has no desire to be a legalistic camp that hires its staff solely for the purpose of patrolling and enforcing rules. That has never been, nor ever will be our intention. However, we feel as though there are boundaries that need to be set in order to create an atmosphere where teenagers can get the most out of camp, and more specifically speaking a place where teenagers can focus on God alone. For that reason, we do have rules that we ask be followed, as well as enforced by you and your chaperones. We wanted to specifically address a few of these:

CELL PHONES

We know that we live in a society where cell phones have become the norm and understand some of your student ministries may use cell phones and other technology for practical reasons (i.e: Bible apps, taking pictures, communication among the group, etc.). Thus, we trust the discernment and leadership of you and your leaders in regards to your approach on cell phone use. The times we do not recommend cell phone usage (aside from Bible usage) in order to promote community and fellowship are as follows: all worship services, activity time, church group time, and late night in the halls. Our Staff will ask students to put away their phones if we see they are being used inappropriately during these times. Crossroads will not be held liable for any lost or stolen cell phones.

CURFEW

Curfew every night is 10:30pm. All campers and chaperones must be in their dorms by 10:30pm. Our staff will be ready to hang out and get to know you guys better! Lights out is at 11:30pm.

GENERAL RULES

Anderson University has a Campus Safety department that consists of full–time Officers that are uniformed and armed. The office is located in the Student Center on the ground floor and Officers are on duty 24 hours a day. The Officers have full jurisdiction over all persons on the campus of AU.

- No alcohol, tobacco, or drugs of any kind permitted anywhere on campus.

- No males in females’ dorms at any time and vice versa. No excep-tions.

- Absolutely no pranks or any act of vandalism on university grounds. Campers will be asked to leave if they participate in any activities of this nature. They will also be responsible for cost of damages.

- Everyone must attend all main services. They are not optional. If a camper is caught skipping a service, they will be sent home at the cost of the church.

- We ask that all campers and chaperones be inside their dorms by 10:30pm. Lights out is at 11:30pm.

Crossroads has determined a specific standard of dress for all attendees including chaperones. We understand that Christians may have different opinions of what is “modest”. However, in our experience, it is best to set one standard to be above reproach to ALL groups coming. We expect Youth Lead-ers and chaperones to abide by and join with our Staff in enforcing these rules for the duration of camp. With all of us working together to maintain a standard of dress for campers, we hope to create a focus for the week to be on what truly matters.

This is your advance notice so that you and your students can pack according-ly. We will regularly and consistently enforce these guidelines, and we hope they are enforced in your group before it’s even a noticeable issue for our Staff to address. Our desire is not to be needlessly legalistic, but we must have a common standard in order to enforce these rules, as well as try to create a distraction-free camp environment. We have asked our Staff to comply to these standards, as well.
