Why choose Anglia Ruskin? (continued)

“Having studied at CRIC through the Foundation pathway, I was able to integrate well into the Cambridge city life.

All of my studies were on campus which made me feel more comfortable in my surroundings. We were part of our own small group and had a close relationship with our lecturers

which prepared me to understand what was expected of me for my degree.”

One university, two fantastic locations Anglia Ruskin University has campuses in two exciting cities; Cambridge and Chelmsford. CRIC has offices in both locations offering everyday help and support. Depending on your study plan, you may spend your entire university life in one location. In some cases you may be required to change campuses, which will give you the opportunity to live and study in two UK cities.

Your life in CambridgeCambridge attracts those who desire both the experience of the old and the excitement of the new. Its beautiful gothic architecture, main attractions within walking distance, rich history, lush botanic gardens and the tranquil River Cam make it one of the UK’s most visited cities. With its large student population, Cambridge offers far more than just scenery.

Your life in ChelmsfordHaving been awarded city status in 2012, Chelmsford has everything that is expected of a modern city, set within an environment full of charm and character. Just a 30 minute train ride away from London, Chelmsford is a lively, vibrant student city in the historical county of Essex.

University FoundationThe University Foundation is Stage 1 of the undergraduate pathway. The transition from high school to university is a big step, perhaps the most important in your life. Staff at CRIC understand this, and will provide you with ongoing guidance, support, and the knowledge and skills you need. It is this partnership between you and the staff that will make this transition a smooth one.

CRIC is located on both of the main campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford. The teaching and learning experience will enable you to fully develop your knowledge and understanding of each module to prepare you for the second and final year of your degree.

Choose yourpostgraduate pathwayA postgraduate pathway is a single course comprising two stages of study; Pre-Masters and Masters. When you successfully complete the full pathway you will be awarded a Masters degree from Anglia Ruskin University.

Pre-MastersThe Pre-Masters course is Stage 1 of the postgraduate pathway, and is one trimester in duration. It has been designed to prepare students who have not qualified for direct entry to Anglia Ruskin University’s Masters degrees, for postgraduate level studies.

Undertaking a Pre-Masters course will provide you with the time to adjust to the rigorous research and independent study requirements of postgraduate studies and prepare you to get the most out of your postgraduate study at ARU.

A CRIC postgraduate pathway provides you with valuable insight into postgraduate level studies in the UK. Most importantly, it will equip you with the appropriate knowledge and skills you need to excel in your chosen taught Masters degree.

All Pre-Masters courses are taught at the Cambridge campus. Depending on your chosen degree, you may need to change to the Chelmsford campus for the remainder of your studies.

See our course matrix for intakes, semesters and campus information.
