THE SECRET TO SUCCESS

IS NO SECRET

WELCOME

DEAR APPLICANT,

MARTIN WRIGHT COLLEGE PRINCIPAL BIMM INSTITUTE BRIGHTON

MARK CRAWFORD FE CENTRE MANAGER

As the College Principal at BIMM Brighton, I know

that choosing the right place to study and nurture

your talent is one of the most important decisions

you’ll ever make. I understand this personally

because before I began my career, I knew that I

wanted to make music my life. And I knew that

where I decided to study was going to be a big

part of my success.

I was fortunate enough to choose a place that

inspired me and opened up paths to the music

career I have today; one that has included working

with Ronnie Wood, Mick Jagger, Procol Harum

and Slash, which has, in turn, ultimately led me to

working at BIMM – Europe’s leading provider of

contemporary music education.

When I moved to Brighton and started teaching at

BIMM, it felt like a city I could not only continue my

music and education career in, but because of the

community the BIMM students and staff create, it

quickly felt like home. Brighton’s vibrant creative

scene, our connections to the wider creative

industries such as Performing Arts, Film and TV,

the countless venues, festivals and a beach that’s

definitely the place to hang out in the summer,

are just the start of what you need to know about

before making that decision yourself.

Since BIMM Brighton was established 17 years

ago, I’ve seen firsthand how our fantastic team

of industry professional tutors have inspired

and taught the musicians, creatives and music

industry entrepreneurs of the future to go on to

bigger and better things.

I continue to work in the music industry like all

the tutors at BIMM, but with an added passion

and focus in passing on the knowledge, skills and

connections to the next generation of aspiring

music industry professionals, creatives and

performers. If this sounds like you, then we look

forward to being a part of your journey towards a

successful and sustainable career in music.

Hello. My name is Mark Crawford and I’m the Further

Education Centre Manager at BIMM.

I’ve been working in music education and the music

industry for twenty years. Your music diploma offers

vocational training from a wide range of current

music industry professionals.

Our RSL accredited diplomas are a direct route into

University study and the Music Industry. Your BIMM

diploma is a gateway to a wider music community

of composition, gigging, highly talented music

professionals and Higher Education.

We’re excited and really looking forward to all the

fantastic music projects that you will be involved in

with us at BIMM.
