Easiest way to bring your mind under control is to let it free. Mind is like a child. Can a mother make a child lie down and sleep? She can’t. Even if you force the child to sleep, it will be merely a physical resting on the bed and no sleep. But if you leave a kid as per her wishes, you take the position of just witnessing whatever she does, roaming, jumping, hopping, flying among all sorts of gymnastics, she will after some time come down to your lap and fall asleep. The same way, if you force a mind to suppress the natural way of thought process, the mind will not be under control. All concentration exercises including meditation are only tools to make the mind under control on a temporal basis.
