Individually, resilient role models offer as my motivation to JUMP. I've been blessed by wonderfulmentors and types of resilience throughout my life. Through the toughest situations, samples ofresilience encouraged me to bounce-back. My grandest example of BOUNCE was and it is mymother. The Great Canyonin oneday, annually after being diagnosed with final breast cancer,Mommy hiked! Back and down, 14 miles round-trip. The last year, she had a radical mastectomyfollowed by months of radiation treatments. Mommy was mentally and psychologically powerful
although physically compromised. ENJOY every moment of the action as well as she was determinedto successfully complete the vacation. Our venture out and into of the Grand Canyon was the mostremarkable evening of my life. The storage of Mom JUMPING out from the Grand Canyon is reallyinspirational!
Forty two years http://www.ecsbigbend.org/ back, I discovered HOWTO bounce-back from hardshipby climbing the Bright Angel trail with Mother. The lessons learned that morning proceed toencourage and to support me through difficulties and tests. Mother exuded self-confidence. Shebelieved in the goodness of others. She and life courageously shared. And she believed the holyinside the ordinary occasions. She was not a victim of life, although mama eventually died of cancer. She kept trust- joy and COMPLETE -COMPLETE towards the summary of her journeyalwaysleaning into existence. Rather than being deflated by difficulty, mommy chose to JUMP. Her decisionserved to encourage everybody who knew and loved her.
By sharing somewhat of my moms account today you will be impressed aswell, I really hope that.We do possess the flexibility to select a response to life, although we cant manage exactly whatoccurs in life. My fervent wish is that most of US decide to BOUNCE in grand, lifegiving ways.
I enjoy the continued conversation. If you have problems or certain concerns associated with yourcaregiving experience, I'd want to hear from you. Until the next posting, I yours blessings and wantyou BOUNCE!
