DO YOU HAVE SUMMERVACATION PLANS?For thousands of families across America, summer vacation is here. And thieves know it.According to the FBI, crime rates rise about 10%during summer months.

The number of Wi-Fi hotspot locations has grown dramatically. With aWi-Fi connection you can be connected to the Internet almost anywhere. You can conduct the same online activities over Wi-Fi as you would beable to at home or work.

Don’t broadcast your vacation. Always be cautious with the informationyou share on social networking and check-in sites, such as Facebook,Twitter and Foursquare. You wouldn't put a sign on your front doorsaying "Away on Vacation," so you shouldn’t do so electronically bypublicly broadcasting your travel plans on a social networking site.

Connect to the Internet with care. If you are bringing your laptop withyou, be very careful using Wi-Fi networks to go online. Most Wi-Fihotspots are unsecured and unencrypted, so you will need to takeadditional steps to protect your privacy. If you are using cyber-cafés,hotel business centers, or other public access Internet facilities, be awarethat keyloggers (software that can track your keystrokes) may betracking you. Public access facilities may use servers that aren’tencrypted. Therefore, you should avoid accessing any sensitiveinformation from a public computer.

There are 3 major privacy threats in a Wi-Fi hotspot:Man-In-The-Middle Attack: Refers to the act of intercepting theconnection between your computer and the wireless router that isproviding the connection. In a successful attack, the hacker can collectall the information transferred and replay them on his computer.

Eavesdropping: Refers to the act of using sniffer software to steal datathat is being transmitted over the network. A sniffer is an application ordevice that can read, monitor, and capture network data. This isparticularly dangerous when conducting transactions over the internetsince sniffers can retrieve logon details as well as important informationsuch as credit card numbers.

Over-the-shoulder: Begin with basic common sense. Look around tosee if anyone is surreptitiously trying to look at your computer. Do notleave your computer unattended. Never conduct unsecured transactionsover unsecured Wi-Fi. When entering sensitive information (such as yourSocial Security number, password, or credit card number), ensure thateither the webpage encrypts the information or that your Wi-Ficonnection is encrypted. Disable your wireless adapter if you are notusing the Internet. Otherwise, you leave your computer open tovulnerabilities if it accidentally connects to the first available network.

As always...safe computing!

LIFE INSURANCE SHOULD BE PART OF YOUR FINANCIAL PLANYou may think you have a solid financial plan. Thepaycheck you bring home on a regular basis may bemore than adequate to meet the immediate needs ofyour family. There may even be some left over for

vacation, retirement or even college savings. But what if you weren’t there to provide for your family’s needs? Would theycontinue to live in the home you shared? Would your children be able toattend the college of their choice? These are important questions that must be considered. Finding the answerscan start with visiting your insurance agent and discussing a life insurancepolicy that is appropriate for you and your family.September has been declared Life Insurance Awareness Month, a time for youto take a look at your existing coverage to see if it is adequate. If you don’thave coverage, it is a good time to discuss the purchase of a policy.A primary purpose of a life insurance policy is to provide a dollar amount tothe beneficiaries in the event of the death of the insured person. That deathbenefit can be used in any number of ways, whether for a mortgage, collegeeducation or regular income.Life is full of many questions. Being sure that your financial plan includes anadequate amount of life insurance can help you answer at least one question,“What will happen to my family if I’m not around to provide for them?”

With the sounds of Saratoga RaceCourse commercials in the back ofour minds we reluctantlyacknowledge the speed with whichthis summer is passing. The 40 dayracing season always ends with fallknocking on our doors, but fornow let's savor the moment and enjoy the beauty of oursummer season in the northeast. Our gardens are at peak, bountiful with tomatoes, corn, squash and select veggies andour lawns lush from a summer with balanced rain andsunshine. We had a rough start this spring (what spring?) butsummer 2011 has been a classic northeast summer AT IT'SBEST! Take some time to sit outside, relax in a comfortablechair, a cool drink in hand, and smell the breeze that bringsyour neighbor's barbeque into your world.

Now that you're hungry and thirsty head down to Garofalo's,buy yourself a couple nice steaks or some of their famous Italian sausage, hit Freemans Bridge Wine and Liquor orRegulars Liquor Cabinet; grab a nice bottle of wine, stop atBuhrmaster's for fresh locally grown veggies, pick up dessert atFoods and Frostings and spend some quality time with yourloved ones. Paul and I will be doing exactly that once we finishthis edition!

Let's not forget the men and women that are protecting us as we enjoy ourselves. I have so many friends whose sons, daughters, husbands and wives are serving in our military.Spend some time with your neighbors that are sacrificing their family lives to protect ours. Invite them over, help puttogether care packages for our soldiers. Our soldiers desperatelyneed the basic essentials, baby wipes because there is very littlewater to bathe in, toothpaste, razors, feminine products. Powder Juice such as Crystal Light singles; packaged cookies orsnacks are incredibly appreciated. Or write a nice note, itdoesn't matter if it is to a specific person. Thank them for beingthere so you can be here. Pray for them.

The 10th anniversary of our nation being attacked on our ownsoil is less than a month away. We will be listing the memorialson our facebook page on a regular basis. Please join ourfacebook page if you haven't already done so and feel free to post memorials you may know of.

See you in September,Cheryll & Paul

4 REASONS YOU DON'T WANT TO SKIPYOUR EYE EXAMRoutine eye exams are important - regardlessof your age or your physical health. Inaddition to evaluating your eyes for glassesand contacts, your eye doctor will check fordiseases and other problems that could lead

to vision loss, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluateyour eyes as an indicator of your overall health. Below are just a fewreasons you don't want to skip your yearly eye exam.

Acuity: Many times people do not even realize that they are not seeingtheir best until they have an eye exam. And other times, people think theyare not seeing well, when in reality their vision is as good as it can be.Sometimes a small change in prescription can make the differencebetween things looking a little “fuzzy” or being “crisp”.

Diseases: Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, have no symptoms in their early stages. Your eye doctor will check thehealth of your eyes inside and out for signs of early problems. In mostcases, early detection and treatment of eye diseases can help reduce yourrisk for permanent vision loss. Also, eye doctors often are the first healthcare professionals to detect chronic systemic diseases such as high bloodpressure and diabetes by looking at your eye's blood vessels, retina and soforth. It is estimated that one-third of Americans who have diabetes don'tknow it; your eye doctor may detect the disease before your primary carephysician does, especially if you're overdue for a physical.

New Technology: Most people wouldn't dream of going a year withoutupdating their cell phone to the latest technology! How about yourglasses that you rely on to see everyday? There are always newimprovements in lens and frame technology that patients can benefitfrom both in comfort and clarity.

Eyeglass Tune Up: Even in the event that you do not have a change inprescription or get new glasses, for some the only time we see you iswhen they have an exam and it is a good opportunity to give your glassesa tune up. We can straighten, tighten and realign your glasses to assureyou are seeing your best!

During a comprehensive eye exam, your eye doctor does much more thanjust determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. So, justlike you take your car in for an oil change every 3,000 miles, you shouldsee your eye doctor every 2 years or as otherwise required.

In the past five years many people needed Life Maid Simple fordifferent reasons, but one reason was heartfelt; people undergoingcancer treatment. There were many women with cancer paying forcleaning because they were unable to do it themselves duringtreatment. Nicole was struck by this unexpected element of herbusiness and on many occasions didn't take their money becauseshe knew they really couldn't afford it but were doing it to keeptheir households ”normal” for their families as they struggledthrough treatment. Sometimes life calls on you to help others; it'syour job to answer. An organization out of Texas called Nicolewanting to know if I she would be interested in providing free

cleanings to womenundergoing treatment forcancer, and donate to theircause...and she answered,YES! In February of 2009Benita Zahn did a story onNew Channel 13 on howLife Maid Simple providesfree cleaning to womenundergoing treatment forcancer, Fly 92 followed witha story. She received manycalls from women in needshe soon realized shecouldn't afford to meet theneeds of so many people.Nicole also realized that notonly women but menneeded help getting theirhomes in order. In May of2009 Nicole decided to start

a Non-Profit organization called Simplifying Lives for a cause, andwas approved by the IRS in November 09.Simplifying Lives for a cause provides free cleaning to men, women, and parents of children undergoing treatment for cancer. They can provide a total of 6 free cleanings from donations as longas funds are available. A paid cleaning professional is sent to thepatient's home. Her employees are insured, trustworthy, andtrained. So many things could go wrong when an untrainedvolunteer enters someone's home, Simplifying Lives for a causepeople are paid professionals. The idea of giving has spread; Nicole now has 5 local businesspartners that will provide services at a discounted rate. Chores likelawn mowing & snow removal (DR & Son), plumbing services(Duell Plumbing & Heating), moving (Clark Moving & Storageof Albany), heating & cooling (JDJ Comfort Systems), and spaand salon services (Metro Spa & Salon). Pork Spareribs with Maple Barbecue Sauce

Classic Chicken Fajitas

A mixture of ground veal, pork and beef forms the base;

however this recipe adds a twist ontraditional meat loaf. The meat is shaped into individual patties

instead of a loaf and, for quick cooking, grilled instead of baked.

Pine nuts and Indian spice add intriguingtexture and taste to these mini loaves,

which are topped with grilled onion rings.Fried potatoes complete the dish.

2 pounds ground meat loaf mix; veal, pork, beef from Garofalo's1/2 cup pine nuts1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro4 teaspoons tandoori Indian spice mix2 teaspoons kosher salt1/4 cup ice water2 medium onions, sliced (1/2 inch)

Heat grill. In large bowl, stir together ground meat, pine nuts, cilantro, tandoorispice mix and salt; stir in ice water.Divide meat mixture into 6 pieces. Shapeeach piece into 5-inch oval patty. Placepatties and onions on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6inches from medium coals. Grill 10 minutesor until centers of patties are no longer pink and onions are crisp-tender and slightly charred, turning once. Serve patties topped with onions.

Try this with Baked Beans as well as coleslaw and biscuits or cornbread.

6 pounds pork spareribs from Garafalo's(about 3 whole racks)2 tablespoons vegetable oil2 medium onions, finely chopped4 garlic cloves, minced2 cups tomato puree3/4 cup pure maple syrup1/4 cup soy sauceGood Stuff Seasoning from Garafalo'sCrushed dried red pepper flakes2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Place rack in center of oven and preheat to 400o.Sprinkle ribs with Good Stuff Seasoning. Wrapeach rib rack tightly in heavy-duty foil; set onrimmed baking sheet. Bake ribs 45 minutes. Coolslightly. Unwrap; drain juices. Cut into individualribs.Meanwhile, heat oil in heavy medium saucepanover medium heat. Add onion and sauté until tender, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute. Add tomato puree, maple syrup and soy sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low andsimmer until sauce thickens slightly, about 20minutes. Stir in vinegar. Season sauce to tastewith salt and pepper.Line same baking sheet with foil. Brush ribs with sauce. Place ribs, meaty side up, on sheet.Roast 15 minutes. Brush on more sauce. Roastuntil meat is very tender, about 20 minutes.

Indian Style Grilled Meat Loaf

For all you traditional barbeque enthusiasts, while shopping at Garofalo’s, remember topick up a bag of Humphrey’s Lump Charcoal for an excellent grilling experience!

5 tablespoons flavored Olive Oil from Garofalo's1/4 cup fresh lime juice1/2 teaspoon ground cumin1/2 teaspoon dried cilantro1/8 teaspoon cayenne1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts fromGarofalo's cut into thin strips1 large red bell pepper, cut into thin strips1 large yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips1 large green bell pepper, cut into thin strips1 onion, thinly sliced4 medium sized shallots, thinly sliced1 garlic clove, minced1/4 teaspoon pepperFlour or corn tortilla'sTopping of your choice: Sour cream, shreddedcheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapeños or guacamole

Mix together 2 tablespoons oil, lime juice, cumin, cilantro and cayenne in a small dish. Add chickento mixture and toss to coat completely. Marinatechicken in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours for extraflavor.Over medium high heat in a wok or large pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil until very hot. Add marinat-ed chicken and stir-fry over high heat until chick-en is white throughout. Place on plate and setaside.Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil to wok or panand reheat until very hot. Add peppers, onion, shallots and garlic; stir-fry until crisp-tender,about 5 minutes.Return chicken and season with pepper. Toss until heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve with warm flour or corn tortillas, shreddedcheese, sour cream, fresh tomatoes, jalapeños or guacamole.

BRIDGING MIND AND BODYJon Gabriel was stuck. At nearly 410 pounds, he hadtried every diet imaginable – with no luck. No matterwhat approach he took to lose weight, his body wouldfight him, and he would inevitably end up heaver thanbefore. Then one day he had a light bulb-over-the-head"ah-hah" moment: His body wanted to be fat, and aslong as it wanted to be fat, there was nothing he coulddo to lose weight.

If you've struggled for any length of time with weight loss, then you knowthe frustration that Gabriel felt in that moment. He was at war with hisbody. In the two years following Gabriel's "ah-hah" moment, he lost over220 pounds naturally, without surgery or counting calories. One of the keycomponents to his success was that he identified and addressed the mentaland emotional reasons that his body felt safe being overweight. The Real Reason You Can't Lose Weight:According to Gabriel, your body wants to be fat anytime it decides thatbeing fat is the best way to keep you safe. This all ties into our survivalinstincts to protect us from starvation, freezing to death or being eaten. Intoday’s world you have different worries than being chased by a lion, butstress about paying your bills create the exact same chemical signals thatare produced when you are starving or freezing. This convinces your bodythat you need to be fat in order to be safe. . Here are four such threats:Fear of Scarcity: When you spend your time in fear that you don't haveenough money then you send a message to your body that resources arelimited. The only resource that your body recognizes is food – and storingfat is how your body saves up.Emotional Obesity: At a subconscious level you may have the associationthat being fat makes you feel safer, or that it is serving another emotional need.Mental Starvation: Though your body only recognizes physical starvation, you can also be suffering from emotional or mental starvation. This could bea desire for love, joy, fun, intimacy, or a deeper spiritual connection. Theselongings can send the same chemical signals in your brain that physicalstarvation causes.Dysfunctional Beliefs: If you believe that you were meant to be fat, ordeserve to be fat, or if you view weight loss as impossible, then your bodywill obey by refusing to lose weight.Exercise was a big part of Gabriel's remarkable weight loss journey. Once hebroke through the mental and emotional reasons for his obesity, his bodycraved activity. Are you ready to begin your weight loss journey? I'm here to help. STAY TUNED with Paul Hill

Viewing a recent text from my daughter Stacy, it was apparent that she hadjust seen someone famous and was going to be on TV later that night. Re-reading the text, it became clear that she had been one of many folks whohad made their way over to the airport on Rt 5 in Glenville to take sneak apeek at some guy named Ryan Gosling, an actor renowned for his role in“The Notebook” and recent release “Crazy, Stupid, Love” or so I'm told, asI'm not a big movie person.

That said I made sure to watch the local news that night only to see mydarling daughter complaining that this guy had his shirt on and wassomewhat disappointed while her co-worker, Kristina Russo sent out aninvitation for Ryan to “find them” if he was watching. (yes, on TV). I couldhave let it go right there, however today (Thursday July 28th) I get anotherphone call followed by a round of text messages that once again, this guy

Gosling was outside her window over at Greno Industries on Rt5 and theywere filming a motorcycle scene… now she has my attention, motorcycles? This guy can't be all that bad; I'm all about motorcycles and have been forthe last 43 years.

Snooping around the front page of the TU online I saw a quick link to thestory and found out that they indeed were filming a movie called “ThePlace Beyond The Pines”, now I'm really confused as that is the literalIndian translation of “Schenectady”, so where are the Indians? And whatdoes that have to do with some guy on a motorcycle?

As it turns out the story line follows a guy who happens to be a motorcyclestunt rider who makes a decision to rob a bank to support his wife (EvaMendes) and young child, in this instance the First National Bank of Scotia,GOOD LUCK with that one, the police station is right across the street!Anyway, the more I looked into this plot the deeper it gets as this stunt hashim crossing paths with a police officer turned politician (Bradley Cooper)and they toss in a crooked cop (Ray Liotta) - comment withheld- for goodmeasure.

If you're wondering where my Daughter fits into this read, she took thepicture, was thrilled to get on TV and was provided an up close andpersonal view of the production. The bigger story from my perspective is thefinancial return that this area gets from having Hollywood in town. I'mpleased that local businesses benefited from this experience as well theyshould; the financial boost is not unwelcome. The movie is scheduled forrelease in 2013. To be honest; I was hoping the title “The Place Beyond ThePines” was going to be an historical piece about the Native Americans whosettled this region instead of a bank robbing biker, but that's just metalking, STAY TUNED.

IS YOUR PORTFOLIO LIKE ABASEBALL TEAM? If you're a baseball fan, you're no doubt aware that theMLB All-Star Game was played on July 12. But whileyou'll probably appreciate the grace and skill of theplayers, you may not realize just how much a baseballteam can teach you about other aspects of life - such

as investing. Specifically, consider the following characteristics:Consistency - Baseball teams need to be consistent. They choose qualityplayers and must have the patience and discipline to stick with thoseplayers during slumps. As an investor, you should choose qualityinvestments and have the patience and discipline to stick with them overthe long haul.Diversification - A baseball team doesn't have just one type of player - itcontains pitchers, catchers, infielders and outfielders. Your portfolio alsoneeds to be diversified because if you own only a single type of investment, and a market downturn strikes that asset class particularly hard, yourportfolio could take a big hit. Owning a diversified mix of stocks, bonds, government securities, certificates of deposit (CDs) and other investmentscan help reduce the effect of market volatility on your holdings. Keep inmind, though, that diversification, by itself, can't guarantee a profit orprotect against loss.Unity - While a baseball team contains a diverse collection of players, theyall strive toward a common goal. And the mix of investments in yourportfolio needs to work together to help achieve the various goals you'veestablished, such as a comfortable retirement, college for your children anda legacy for your family. To work toward your individual objectives, you willneed to create an investment mix that's based on your risk tolerance, timehorizon, family situation and other factors.Flexibility - While every member of a professional baseball team is a goodplayer, one might be better than another in a given situation. For instance,a faster runner might pinch-run for someone else. And as you move on inyour “game” of life, you will need flexibility in making your investmentdecisions. As one example, when you near retirement, you may want toreduce your exposure to risk somewhat, so you might decide to replacesome - but certainly not all - of your growth-oriented vehicles withinvestments that can offer greater protection of your principal.Good Management - Even the best group of baseball players needs amanager to guide them and make decisions during a ballgame. And to helpyou make investment choices during different times in your life, you mightbenefit from working with a financial professional - someone who knowsyour risk tolerance, investment preferences and long-term aspirations. You may never find yourself surrounded by the greatest ballplayers inthe world - but remembering these traits can help keep your portfolio“in the game.”

INSPIRATION AT ANY AGE!It is hard to believe that August is upon us, sharingits' hot and humid lazy days. As my fingers hoverover the keyboard it is hard to decide what to write. The ideas are far too many to choose. My thoughtskeep leading back to my son and how amazed I amat the young man he is becoming.

We have enjoyed many days at the lake with familyand friends so far. Sitting in my beach chair watching our son tie a lifepreserver to his "old" bike and ride that thing so fast down the dock thatit rockets off the end in a big splash. As his head pops up from the water,he yells, "did you see that mom?" He does it over and over again, eachtime making sure we see it.

The previous week he spent at Encampment. This is a boot camp for thekids that belong to CAP and is at the Stratton Air Force Base. Wedropped him off on a Saturday and didn't hear from him until thefollowing weekend. He knew it was going to be hard (it actually saidthat in the brochure). It was a challenge of physical fitness and a mentalchallenge as well.

The long week passed and graduation finally came. We sat withanticipation waiting for his flight team to march by hoping for a glanceat our boy in his dress blues. My eyes begin to tear up as he marchedby. I tried to control my excitement as he came out of the building. Itwas hard not to run over and give my handsome son a big full body hugthat would totally embarrass him in front of his new found friends.

On the short ride home he told of his adventure. He said "it was hard, really hard, but I pushed through mom"! He was proud of himself, youcould hear it in his voice. He is already anticipating next year and theprograms he will take. Para Rescue in New Mexico is next I think...well,we will see about that one.

A young man that has a mere 14 years on this earth is teaching me thevalue of hard work and perseverance. The "I just pushed through"attitude is one to be admired. He was scared and didn't know what toexpect and yet he pushed through it and did what he had to do. Thereare many times that I find myself trying to push through as well. WhenI am scared and don't know what to expect or what is around the corner,I can think of what my boy said..."just push through". Even at my ageyou can learn a thing or two from your teenaged son. As he grows intoa young man, I think he will teach me many things. I have always saidthat people inspire other by simply being who they are. He did just thatfor me. I will never underestimate the power of my son and his ability todo what he sets his mind to at any age.

When you find yourself not knowing what to expect or a little scared tomove forward, remember that there are people out there, family andfriends to help guide you. They may speak inspiring words, they may bedoing what you wish to do or they may simply be there to hold yourhand. Either way, let them and be open to it and never forget thatinspiration comes at any age!

As always, I wish you peace, joy and many inspiring moments!

MAKEOVER YOUR HOME FOR FREEAnyone who knows me knows that I love beautifulthings. But here's my secret: I'm cheap. I don't justwait for a 20% off sale at Pottery Barn, I scour theinternet for coupons, bargain basement deals, closeout specials - my number one go-to site before I make

a major purchase is Craig's List, and I've never seen a yard sale sign Icould pass up. For me, the thrill of the hunt is almost more fun thanactually buying.Lately, I've been working on a lot of re-design jobs. Re-designing space issimply using things you already have and making them feel new bychanging them around. We've been renovating our bathroom for severalmonths so we're watching every penny - even Craig's List is off-limits.Feeling inspired by my clients' projects, I started re-designing my ownhouse.I started downstairs since it's been several years since we moved in. Imoved my wedding photos from my hallway to my bedroom and frameda large, modern Ikea print in a weathered, antique picture frame. I moveda sofa from my office to my bedroom and moved my former nursery chairto my office. Because I freed up so much space, I was able to move aroundsome of the accessory pieces and make it feel fresh and new. In the familyroom, I moved decorative items around and hung a painting that was inmy bedroom.I did the same throughout the house. It didn't cost me anything and myold things feel new in their new temporary homes. I'll re-design again inthe fall - it was fun finding new ways to use things I was used to seeingin the same place day after day.If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times - decorating doesn't haveto a painful, expensive process. Moving things around costs nothing andcan be just rewarding as emptying the closest Restoration Hardware (Ipromise!).Do you need a change but are tight on cash? There are so many ways tochange your home's look and I can help. LIKE my Facebook page forinspiration, and be sure to post your questions and photos.

After a travelling show of sorts to Lebanon Valley on the final Saturday inJune, the month of July came and has now almost gone but for MarkMortensen and the Mortensen Motorsports Racing Team it was a very busytime as continued success has followed the team not necessarily with featurewins but with something almost as important when you are going for a trackchampionship “consistency”.On Saturday July, 2 the Your Hometowne sponsored #1M was back in actionat the Fonda Speedway after a trip to Lebanon Valley the week prior. Markstarted eighth in heat race number one and fell one spot short of qualifyingas he finished the race in the sixth position but after a car ahead of him wasdisqualified in post race tech Mark was placed in the fifth and final qualifyingspot and he started the 20-lap feature event in the 19th position.Mark moved steadily through the field and by the halfway point in the eventhe had moved up five positions into the 15th spot and picked off one car perlap for the next four laps into the 11th spot. Mark spent the final five laps ofthe event side by side with Cody Bleau for the 10th position and at thecheckered flag he just nosed out Cody for the 10th spot in the final runningorder. On Saturday July, 9 at Fonda, Mark started seventh in the fourth heat race andfinished in a handicapping spot in the third position putting him in the 10thstarting position for the 20-lap feature event. By the lap five point in thefeature event he had already moved up two positions to eighth and by lapseven he was in the top five. At the halfway point in the feature event Markmoved into the fourth position which he would settle into for the remainderof the race after a great battle with Cody Bleau to get the spot.Coming out of turn four on the final lap, Mark was blocked by the lap car ofRick Lamont and had to slow down quickly to avoid hitting Lamont who wasright in the middle of the track. When Mark slowed down to avoid the slowercar of Lamont, Bleau was able to get by for the fourth position with Markfinishing fifth in the final feature rundown.

After a fourth place finish by the Bonnie Mortensen owned #1M on SaturdayJuly, 16 at Fonda the next race on the schedule was Saturday July, 23 withMark starting in the sixth position in heat race number three and finishing ina handicapping position in the fourth spot putting him eighth on the startinggrid for the feature event.Mark moved into the top five into the fourth position by lap seven of the 20-lap feature event but with the filed strung out ahead of him it was hard togain too many more positions. On lap 13 he got by another car for the thirdposition which is where he would finish the feature event and with that finishhe now has a 40 point lead going into the July 30 racing program with onlyfour point races left in the 2011 racing season towards the 602 sportsmantrack championship.
