HOW TO APPLY

1. Complete the admissions application.• If you have not attended any type of schooling beyond high school, apply as a new freshman.• If you have attended classes beyond high school at a college, university, technical, business or

trade school, apply as a transfer student.• If you are unsure how you should apply, please call 330-675-8860 and ask to speak to Admissions.

2. Pay the application fee• Pay online using a credit or debit card, or• Choose Pay Later to pay with cash or check in person

at the Student Services Office.3. Submit an official high school transcript or GED certificate

If you have enrolled in classes beyond high school — college, university, technical, business or trade school — submit an official transcript to the above address. Once we receive everything listed above, we will proceed. Then, you will receive your acceptance letter in the mail with information about placement assessment and course registration.

GRANTSGrants are a form of gift aid and do not have to be repaid. Kent State University participates in several federal and state grant programs.

LOANSLoans are a form of self-help aid and must be repaid. Various types of federal loans and private loans are available.

FEDERAL WORK STUDYFederal Work Study (FWS) is a type of self-help aid that must be earned. The FWS award will not be deducted from the student’s bill. A student will receive a biweekly paycheck based on hours worked.

Once we receive your FAFSA information and have sent you an acceptance letter welcoming you to the university, you will receive a letter outlining what financial aid you’ve been awarded. After receiving your financial aid award letter, you will need to accept your financial aid via the Financial Aid link in FlashLine.

FlashLine is Kent State University’s online portal. There, you can access your student dashboard, email, Blackboard and more!

New borrowers must complete Entrance Counseling and sign their Master Promissory Note (MPN) at WWW.STUDENTLOANS.GOV. You will need to log in using your FSA ID.

2. Complete the FAFSA at WWW.FAFSA.GOV.

3. Sign your FAFSA with your FSA ID and send to Kent State Trumbull using school code 003064.

▪ Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Admission to the Respiratory Care major is selective. Applicants must hold an active credential for certified respiratory therapist (CRT) or registered respiratory therapist (RRT) and an associate degree from a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy/care program with a minimum 2.000 overall GPA.

THEATRE: The Kent State Trumbull Theatre partners with the local community and K-12 school systems. They produce four plays during the university season (September-April) and three more plays during the Summer Stock season (May-August).
