Private Medical Insurance All staff get PMI (Bupa) free as part of their package following two years of continuous service, and a preferential rate opt-in prior to this, subject to scheme rules.

Flexible working time policy Choose your start and finish time as long as you work around core hours, in agreement with your manager.

BUPA Benefit You’re entitled to a cash benefit of £150 after you or your partner gives birth.

Employers for Childcare Vouchers

The scheme is a flexible, easy and tax efficient way to pay for childcare. We’ll deduct the cost of childcare vouchers from your gross salary each month, saving up to £99.63 per month on registered childcare costs.

Working from home You can work up to three days per week from home, in agreement with your manager.

Maternity and paternity leave

Upon successful completion of your probationary period, you will be entitled to enhanced company maternity and paternity pay – 13 to 20 weeks full pay for maternity and two weeks full pay for paternity leave. We also provide paid time off for ante-natal appointments for both parents



Part-time opportunities Where possible, we’ll offer part-time opportunities that fit around your other commitments.

35 days holiday You’re entitled to 35 days paid leave, including floating bank holidays. You can also buy and sell up to 10 days with manager approval.

Work Experience

Our interactive and stimulating work experience programme provides a real insight to school pupils into what it’s like to work in IT.

Social and Charity committee All employees across all locations have the opportunity to join our charity committee, who will organise fundraising events across the year.

Time off for volunteering We’ll fund two days off per year to volunteer for a charity of your choice.

Payroll giving

We offer simple payroll giving to a wide range of charities, taken directly through your salary before tax if you choose to opt in.

Tech Outreach

We work with partners such as the Prince’s Trust and Code Club to develop relationships with schools throughout all of our office locations and participate in outreach events. Kainos will fund days for staff members to participate.

Your social life We’re a social bunch and we believe that getting together helps us all to work better as a team. From payday drinks, pizza and video game nights to barbecues, you’ll find something to interest you!

Team nights out The company will treat each team to a night out, usually once a year, to celebrate the completion of a project or a portion of a project, or just to get the team together.

Christmas partyAt Christmas, all staff are treated to a festive meal, entertainment and a subsidised bar by the company. You can also take advantage of free transport to and from the venue.

Social committeeOur Social Committee organises frequent activities such as pub quizzes and beer or wine tasting events.

Summer BBQEvery summer, you’re welcome to bring your family along to enjoy free food and entertainment, along with a subsidised bar. Free transport to the venue and home again is also provided.

Payday drinksOn the last Friday of every month (day after pay day), you’re invited to enjoy pay day drinks at a local bar. Your first two drinks are on Kainos and nibbles are also provided.
