Your deadly guide to a great start at student life A place to call home Student life can be busy and hours of study can wear you out fast. We want to make sure you have somewhere safe to rest your head at the end of a long day. This needs to be somewhere you feel comfortable and secure. Some $$$ in the bank We’re not saying that you need to be rich to come to uni. We just don’t want you to be stressing out about money when you need to be studying or have assignments to finish. You only need enough to look after yourself, which could mean things like paying your phone bill, buying groceries or getting your textbooks. A deadly attitude Your brain is a really powerful tool. It can do some amazing stuff, but it can also be a big roadblock if your thoughts aren’t very positive. You need to have confidence, back yourself and, most importantly, be kind to yourself. If you’re having a hard time or feeling down, there are plenty of people at USQ who want to help and are happy to have a yarn. Your own support system It doesn’t matter what you study or where, at some stage every student needs help and support. You need to have a few people in your life you know are going to be there when you need help and that you can talk to about anything.
