Dear Brothers,

Pepsi’s Refresh Project is a charity contest that has been donating millions of dollars to organizations throughout the United States in 2010. PepsiCo partnered with four non-profit groups in the venture, who have awarded $1.3 million a month in several increments. Each monthly amount was split up between two grants of $250,000 and up to 10 grants of $50,000, $25,000 and $5,000 each. Any legal U.S. resident over 13 have submitted proposals, either on their own or in conjunction with a non-profit or business. All projects must be U.S.-specific. Located within the company’s “Pepsi – Refresh Everything” Facebook Page and on its web site, the contest allows users to submit and vote on the charities they think are most worthy of funding.

With the motto, “Submit. Promote. Vote,” the contest launched in January of this year. Grant ideas have been accepted as of January 13 2010 and continue up to January 24, 2011. One thousand applications are accepted monthly via www.refresheverything.com, and consumers vote on the winning projects. By the end of the year, Pepsi expects it will have given out more than $20 million in grants.

After careful consideration and deliberation, during the month of November, the Kappa Foundation will market a $250,000 grant proposal to support Kappa Kamp at the Piney Woods School. A large amount of time and effort was exerted on this grant proposal and our campaign to secure $250,000 for Kappa Kamp will be need your direct help.
