6 STEPS TO BRUSH YOUR CHILD’S TEETH

Step 1 x
Use a pea-sized amount of low-fluoride toothpaste onto a soft children's toothbrush.
Step 2
Sit the child on your lap, facing away from you, or stand behind taller children. Tilt the child's head back against your body so you can see all the surfaces of the teeth.
Step 3
Angle the bristles of the toothbrush towards the gum. Move the brush in gentle circles to clean the outer sides of the teeth and gums.
Step 4
Brush in gentle circles on the inside of the teeth and gums.
Step 5
Brush the chewing surfaces, backwards and forwards. After brushing all the surfaces encourage your child to spit out the toothpaste. Do not rinse because rinsing reduces the fluoride protection.

Visit Dentist Regularly
Your dentist will examine your teeth and show you how to brush and floss your teeth. He would also apply fluoride varnish to teeth twice a year.
Do
Brush at least twice daily, last thing at night and on at least one other occasion.Supervise your child’s brushing.
Use a pea size fluoridated toothpaste containing more than 1,000 ppm fluoride.Spit out after brushing and do not rinse, to maintain fluoride concentration levels.Reduce the frequency and amount of sugary food and drinks.
