Introducing your new Medicare Part D Prescription Drug PlanBlue Cross Group MedicareRx (PDP), managed by Prime Therapeutics LLC (Prime)1, has been selected by Boeing as your new pharmacy benefit administrator. We are pleased to be entrusted with your care and are committed to providing outstanding service, pharmacy expertise and convenience to you and your Medicare-eligible family members. This new plan will replace your coverage from Express Scripts® and will take effect on January 1, 2021.

The name of your new Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit is Blue Cross Group MedicareRx (PDP). This plan is very similar to your current coverage. It has a large national network of pharmacies, a convenient mail order option, and a drug list that has very few changes from your current list.

You may see both names – Prime and Blue Cross Group MedicareRxSM — on plan materials and your member ID card. Your dedicated Boeing Member Services team will refer to your plan as Blue Cross Group MedicareRx when you call.

Prime is collectively owned by several Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans, subsidiaries or affiliates of those plans, including the main administrator of Boeing-sponsored medical plans — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL). Today, Prime provides pharmacy benefit management services for over 30 million members across many medical plans.

If members of your household are enrolled in another Boeing-sponsored medical plan, they will have their own member ID cards and different plan documents from you. Only Medicare Part D prescription drug plan members are enrolled in Blue Cross Group MedicareRx. If other members of your household have questions, each member can call the Member Services number listed on the back of their ID card for help.

Getting StartedThis section describes our prescription drug list, pharmacy network and more. It also includes tips on how to make the transition easier.

Drug List Your new Medicare Part D drug list will closely match your current drug list and is divided into coverage tiers — for example, showing brand drugs and generics – like your current list. The copay for each tier remains the same as your current plan.

Effective January 1, 2021, some drugs will change coverage tiers, with a few changing to a higher cost tier. A small number will be removed from the list. These kinds of adjustments also occurred from time to time in your current plan.

To check coverage for any drug you’re taking now, you can visit myprime.com/boeing, click on Find Medicines, select the 2021 plan year, choose Medicare Retiree, and simply enter the name of the drug. Your plan also includes coverage for certain drugs that are not otherwise covered by Part D. These drugs aren’t included in the Find Medicines search, but you can view them by going to the Forms tab, and clicking on the Supplemental Drug List. Or, you can call us at 1-877-9BOEING (1-877-926-3464), TTY 711. In most cases, if you’re taking a drug where coverage is changing, we’ll send you a letter in late November.

Pharmacy Network Review the national pharmacy network. It includes over 62,000 retail locations. All major national retail and grocery pharmacy chains participate in the network, including Walgreens, CVS and others. In the small number of cases where a pharmacy you’re using is not in the network for 2021, we’ll send you a letter in late November.

If another person in your household is covered by a Boeing-sponsored pre-Medicare retiree medical plan, their network is also large, but it continues to exclude Walgreens local pharmacies.

Over 99% of the pharmacies used by Boeing retirees are in the network for 2021.

Home Delivery Your new Home Delivery (mail order) pharmacy will be AllianceRx Walgreens Prime. This service allows you to get up to a 90-day supply of medications that you take on a regular basis, mailed to your home.

Most prescriptions currently on file with Express Scripts Home Delivery will be transferred automatically to AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, as long as there are refills on file that extend beyond January 1, 2021. We’ll send you a letter in late November about the transfer process. The letter will also explain when and what steps you will need to take to set up a new account.

Prescriptions for compound medications or controlled substances cannot be transferred and will require a new prescription. If that’s your situation, you’ll also get a letter in late November that explains what you need to do.

Specialty DrugsSpecialty drugs are used to treat chronic and complex conditions such as multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C or rheumatoid arthritis. You may be able to fill specialty prescriptions at certain retail pharmacies, depending on whether they stock the medication. You can also use your designated specialty pharmacy, AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, which is the name of both our Home Delivery Service and our Specialty Pharmacy. AllianceRx Walgreens Prime offers convenient home delivery and expertise in handling specialty medications.

Transition Tip — If you’re having a specialty medicine filled today at Accredo, the specialty pharmacy affiliated with Express Scripts, Accredo will transfer your prescription to AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, as long as you have refills on your prescription that extend beyond January 1, 2021.

If this specialty drug situation applies to you, we will send you a letter in early November. Given the special handling or protocols that specialty drugs sometimes require, we’ll also try to call you before January 1, to help you make this transition and make sure you’re comfortable with how the specialty process works.

You can access the website from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Even though an app is not available, the website is optimized for mobile devices. That makes it very easy to use. If you participate in a Boeing-sponsored medical plan administered by BCBSIL, you can go to your account on the Prime website — without having to sign in — when you log in to your Blue Access for MembersSM (BAMSM) account.

Pharmacy Benefit Review ProgramsAs was the case with Express Scripts, your prescription drug plan includes programs designed to encourage safe, cost-effective and appropriate use of medications. These programs are explained in the chart below. Go to myprime.com/boeing and click on Find Medicines, select the 2021 plan year and choose Medicare Retiree to see what drugs might be subject to these special programs.

Program What It Is What You Need to Know or Do

Prior Authorization (PA)

Some drugs may need to be approved by the plan before they are covered. This is so the plan can guide appropriate use of these drugs. Your doctor can help you with this process.

• If you’re currently taking a drug that has a Prior Authorization on file with Express Scripts, and it extends beyond December 31, 2020, we’ll get that information from Express Scripts and honor the authorization through the date it has been approved but no later than December 31, 2021. Then, we’ll ask your doctor to provide updated information.

• If your Prior Authorization expires soon after January 1, 2021, you’ll want to contact your doctor to be ready to submit information to us shortly after January 1, 2021.

Step Therapy (ST)

A “step” approach is required to receive coverage for certain high-cost drugs. This means a drug will not be covered unless you try some other lower-cost drug that works just as well first.

This program will only apply to certain drugs that you begin taking for the first time on or after January 1, 2021.

Quantity Limits (QL)

These limits (also called quantity limits) may be applied on select drugs. Limits may involve how much covered medicine may be filled per prescription or in a given time span. If your doctor prescribes an amount that is more than the dispensing limit, you can still get the drug. But, you may have to pay for the full cost of the prescription beyond what your coverage allows. In most cases, these limits apply for safety reasons.

If you are taking a medication that will be subject to a new quantity limit after January 1, 2021, we’ll send you a letter in late November. You’ll want to contact your doctor to be ready to submit information to us shortly after January 1.

What to Expect Next

Here are some dates for what to expect next:

1 November 3 – 24 Boeing annual enrollment

2 Early November You will receive a letter in early November if you are having a specialty medication filled today at Accredo. Due to the special handling or protocols that specialty medications sometimes require, we’ll invite you to call us, or we’ll try to call you, to make sure you are ready to go beginning January 1.

3 Mid to Late November

You will receive a letter from Express Scripts reminding you that your prescription drug coverage will no longer be administered by them after December 31, 2020.

You may also receive a letter from Prime that lets you and your doctor know what you need to do on or after January 1, 2021, if you: • are taking a drug that may have coverage changes,

• are using a pharmacy that is no longer in the network,

• are using the Express Scripts Home Delivery Service, or

• have a Prior Authorization on file with Express Scripts.

4 Mid to Late December

Medicare Approval

Your enrollment in this plan is automatic, but Medicare still needs to approve it.

• Acknowledgment Letter – In mid-December, shortly after the Boeing administrator sends your enrollment to Medicare, you’ll receive an acknowledgment letter from Blue Cross Group MedicareRx. You’ll also get a letter from the Boeing Service Center for Health and Insurance confirming your medical plan enrollment.

• Confirmation Letter – After your enrollment is approved by Medicare, you’ll get a confirmation letter from Blue Cross Group MedicareRx.

• Member ID Card – Your prescription drug ID card is mailed separately. Each covered member receives their own card and unique member number. Be sure to use your card when filling your prescriptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I opt out of Blue Cross Group MedicareRx (PDP)?A: Your prescription drug coverage is offered under your Boeing-sponsored medical plan. If you wish to opt out of Part D prescription drug coverage, you would also need to opt out of your medical plan coverage. If you are thinking about opting out of Boeing-sponsored medical coverage (and as a result, your prescription drug coverage), call the Boeing Service Center for Health and Insurance to discuss how that choice could affect any future opportunity to re-enroll. The number you call depends on when you terminated employment with Boeing:

• Before 2011 — Call the Boeing Service Center for Health and Insurance at 1-866-504-4256

• In 2011 or after — Call Boeing Worklife at 1-866-473-2016, enter your BEMSID and say, “Health and Insurance” when prompted. Be sure to have your BEMSID and phone PIN when you call (If you don’t know your phone PIN, go to Worklife and type Phone Pin in the Worklife “What are you looking for?” search box.)

Q: If my doctor wants to request an appeal or make some type of exception, whom would they contact?A: If your doctor wants to ask Prime for an exception, a coverage determination or to make an appeal, your doctor can call the Member Service Center phone number on your prescription ID card after January 1, 2021 to ask for a review. Prime will help guide your doctor through the next steps, including filling out any forms. If the coverage request is denied, Prime will let you and your doctor know why it was denied.

Q: Why will some drugs no longer be covered or change to a higher-cost tier?A: These changes can happen for a variety of reasons – there may be over-the-counter alternatives, or there may be lower-cost alternatives that clinical experts consider to be equally effective. If a drug you’re taking is in the small number that will no longer be covered, the letter we send in late November will let you know, in most cases, about other covered drugs that treat the same condition. These kinds of adjustments also occurred from time to time in your current plan.

Q: Are there any programs to help us learn how to save money on our prescription drug expenses?A: Toward the end of 2020 or in early 2021, we’ll send you information about Rx Savings Solutions (RxSS) 2. This is a confidential and optional service that gives personalized prescription guidance at no cost to help you save money. The service can send you a text or email if you ever pay too much for a prescription. RxSS finds other ways to get the same treatment for less money. You can pre-register for this service before January 1. You can find the link to register at myprime.com/boeing.

Q: Are some drugs covered by Medicare or my medical plan instead of this prescription drug plan?A: Yes. Some drugs or supplies should be covered by Medicare or your medical plan, rather than your prescription drug plan (for example, diabetic supplies and oral chemotherapy drugs). Some drugs might need a special determination to find out whether they should be covered by your prescription drug plan or your medical plan (for example, immunosuppressive drugs following a transplant). Your pharmacist can help you determine whether to use your prescription drug card or your Medicare or medical plan card in these situations. If a drug or supply is covered by Medicare or your medical plan, there will not be any additional payment by this prescription drug plan.
