Booth Decoration & Notice of Exhibiting
A. To truly understand the location of the stand and its relationship to the rest of the venue, it
is strongly recommended that all exhibitors perform a site visit to the exhibition hall during
the stand planning stages and obtain the exact stand measurements.
B. Exhibitors shall use flameproof and environmentally friendly decoration materials which
can be assembled, recycled, or reusable.
C. Security and Insurance:
a. During the exhibition period (including installation and dismantling periods), TDRI’s
management team will supervise entrance to and exit from the exhibition hall to
maintain order inside the exhibition area. Exhibitors are responsible for caring for their
own exhibits, installation materials and tools. Exhibitors should insure all valuable
exhibits and hire additional security personnel if necessary. TDRI is not liable for loss or
damages.
b. From the time when exhibits and installations are transported to the exhibition area
until the end of the exhibition period, exhibitors shall be responsible for their own fire
insurance, burglary insurance, water damage insurance and public liability insurance
(including additional coverage for natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes,
floods and others). TDRI is not liable for any loss or damage of exhibits or installations
during this period of time.

D. To protect the rights of designers, exhibitors are responsible for obtaining the patent rights
and copyrights of their exhibit products.
E. During the exhibition period, exhibitors are liable for all compensation and legal
obligations if their installations, personal objects or exhibits cause injury or property loss to
any staff member or third party due to improper management or carelessness in the
installation, operation or maintainance of the facilities.
F. Due to the large number of exhibit products, TDRI will not be able to offer assistance in
filing for rights of a specific exhibit product. Exhibitors should proceed to school for
application an “exhibition certificate”.
G. To comply with the government’s measures aginst counterfeiting, exhibits stating false
place of production, using copied trademarks or violating patent rights or copyrights are
strictly banned from the exhibition. Exhibitors who knowingly display products in violation
of intellectual property laws and are found guilty will have their right to exhibit terminated
and payment confiscated. The exhibitor will also be banned from taking part in this
exhibition for next two years. Any exhibit product involved in lawsuits for trademark
violation or patent or copyright disputes during or prior the exhibition shall not be
exhibited. Exhibitors may not contest this rule. Should TDRI get drawn into lawsuits or
suffer damages as a result of intellectual property violations and disputes, the exhibitor is
liable for all compensations.
H. With the patent or copyright owner’s approval, TDRI shall be allowed to use actual exhibit
items, pictures, slides and written materials for exhibition, recording, and promotional
purposes.
I. Intellectual property rights: Copyrighted music, images, and videos may not be played or
shown during the exhibition without a public license. Exhibitors are solely responsible for
any intellectual property infringement incurred; the Organizer is entitle to stop the
playback.
J. The work of the exhibition cannot be sexually explicit or against accepted social customs
and norms.
TAITRA Occupational Safety & Health Matters
A. To allow all decoration construction workers who have access to the exhibition halls to fully
understand and abide by the safety regulations and regulations regarding decoration work, in
order to protect the safety of workers and exhibition hall facilities, TAITRA requires that all
decoration construction workers must receive training in "TAITRA Exhibition Hall
Construction Safety"( TAITRA encourages the construction workers to obtain a valid Taipei
City Government Employment Security Card.) and receive a TAITRA class certificate before
applying for the "TAITRA Exhibition Hall Service Permit". Workers who do not have a service

permit are denied access to the exhibition halls.
B. To prevent injuries on the job and protect worker safety, organizer and exhibitors must follow
the Vocational Health and Safety Act, the TAITRA Letter of Undertaking for Pre-Construction
Safety and Health, Regulations for TAITRA Project Contractor Pre-Construction Operation
Standard, TAITRA Contractor Health and Safety Management Regulations, the TAITRA
Delivery and Contract Hazard Notice Form and the TAITRA Construction Site Hazard Notice
Form. And fill the "TAITRA Letter of Undertaking for Pre-Construction Safety and Health",
allows entrance to the exhibition hall for construction, and also for the reference of
competent authorities.
C. Exhibitors or employers are required to comply with the specifications of the "TAITRA Venues
Operation Rules ", "Exhibition Manual" and "Regulations on Work at TAITRA Venues". If there
is a violation, relevant penalties will be conducted.

D. During the Exhibition, it should keep one person at the scene ensure the safety of the
exhibit works before leaving.
E. The exhibitors should look after the items, materials, decorations, and other facilities during
construction/installation and have them insured. TDRI will not be responsible for any
damages.
Pre.Exit of Booth Exhibits 17:00 p.m - 18:00 p.m , May25, 2020
Notice:
A. Exhibitor is only to take away smaller and portable items and other valuables after 17:00.
B. If Exhibits removed and exhibitors dismantle their stands before 6:00 pm on May25, 2020.
Violators will be identified, documented and banned from participating in YODEX in the
next two years.
C. Cars are not allowed inside the exhibition area.
Booth Dismentling 09:00 a.m - 18:00 p.m, May26, 2020
Notice:
A. Exhibitor pass is not required during the installation and desmentling period. Please pay
attention to your valuables.
B. According to the labor safety and health regulations, anyone who doesn’t wear the safety
helmet is not permitted to enter the venue during the installation and desmentling period
for booth decoration.
C. Exhibitors are required to clear their stands within the timetable. Move-out includes the
removal of exhibits, waste, and rubbish, and restoring the stand to its original condition.
Stand spaces are not considered clear if any of the foregoing action is not completed.
D. Exhibitors that have not completed move-out within the timetable shall have their security
deposit deducted as overtime payment to the Taipei World Trade Center.

E. Forfeited amount of security deposit due to late move-out are as follow:
F. For move-outs completed between 18:00-19:00, exhibitors forfeit 30% of their security
deposit (NT$15,000).
G. For move-outs completed after 19:00, exhibitors forfeit all of their security deposit
(NT$50,000).
H. At least one department representative is required to stay for the clearing and restoration of
each stand space. The representative is required to notify and accompany the exhibition
staff for stand inspection. Representatives may not leave before security deposit refund
procedure is completed after confirmation of move-out.
Regulations Governing Booth Decorations
Booth Layout and Design Plan:
: Exhibitors are required to submit their booth layout and design plan before Tuesday, March
17, 2020. The following information should be included for the Organizer to verify the
compliance of stand design with the Exhibitor Manual. Designs that do not meet the
guidelines thereof are required to be amended.
A. Booth’s number.
B. The size of each wall (H/L/W).
C. The location and width of the entrance.
D. The location and height and aisle distance of the TV.
E. The location and size of the stage.
F. The location of the sound equipment.
Regulations of Booth Design and Structure:
A. The height of booths shall not exceed 4 meters(include identification sign).
B. For decorations of booths facing the walkway, the length of their walls must be less than
50 percent of the length of the booth, and the length of stamped walls must not exceed 9
meters.
1:Actual layout of stand should adhere to the stand design submitted.
2:If due to improper installation, operation, maintenance or management during the exhibition
or event (including set up before the exhibition and dismantling after the exhibition),will have
their booths dismantled by force.
3:Unless otherwise specified within these regulations, if exhibitors or decoration contractors
violate the regulations stated herein, TAITRA may cut off water and electricity supply. If
property damage, injury, or death has occurred as a result of a construction accident, the
exhibitors shall be held fully responsible for handling the situation and shall bear the relevant
legal responsibility.

C. Regulations of equipment obstruction within stand spaces
a. Stand spaces next to air conditioning units are required to install a hidden door
large enough for a grown man to go through. The distance between exhibition walls
and existing equipment should be at least the width of a door to allow maintenance
access.
b. Stand spaces next to fire extinguishers are required to keep the exhibition walls
from obstructing the fire extinguishers, allowing easy access in case of emergency.
c. The stamping of electrical distribution boxes, fire protection equipment, fire exits,
and safety signs is prohibited. Blocking stair cases and traffic flow with decorations,
materials, or display items is strictly prohibited.
D. Walkways within stand spaces: Walkways within stand spaces (used by visitors) should
have a width of at least two meters.
E. No objects can be hung from the ceiling, all kinds of lighting, indicator lights, air
conditioning or pipelines, and no posters/advertisements are permitted on the pillars.
F. Wrap pillar
a. To wrap pillars, the exhibitor must submit application form( Appendix 3-1 & 3-2).
b. Walls around pillars should not exceed 4 meters in height.
c. Openings should be made for equipment on the pillars, which may not be
obstructed nor obscured from view with partition walls or any object (electric
panels may be covered with a panel cover that may be opened for access).
d. See the appendix 3-1 & 3-2 for the specified dimensions of opening required.The
wrapping should be no thicker than 30 cm.
e. On the eastern and western sides of the pillars, a 50-centimeter space should be left
between the floor and the pillar wraps, so as to allow access to electrical outlets.
Dimensional lumbers used to support the pillar wraps may touch the floor.
G. TV wall and large screen wall:
If TV walls, large screen walls, or other facilities are required, please follow the
regulations listed below:
a. To install a TV wall and large screen wall, the exhibitor must submit application
form( Appendix 4).
b. If the installation is less than 2.5 meters in height, the front shall be at least 1 meter
away from the booth's baseline.
c. If the installation is higher than 2.5 meters, the total height shall not exceed 4
meters, and the front of the installation shall be at least 2 meters away from the
booth's baseline, or it shall be set at a 30-degree angle to the booth's baseline.
d. Sound volume shall be maintained below 85 decibels.
e. TV wall should be setup against toppling over with proper facilities (installation of

lateral support, fixed cable and nylon rope, the TV wall base shall be padded with
steel plates, in case of earthquake, to avoid uneven force resulting in the collapse of
the TV wall). It’s a violation if not set properly.
f. Videos being shown shall correspond to the theme of the exhibition or event, and
shall not violate good moral standards.
H. Guideline for setting up stages and sound equipment:
a. To install a stage or sound equipment with output greater than 20 watts, the
exhibitor must submit application form( Appendix 5).
b. The edge of the stage shall be at least 2 meters back from the baseline of the booth;
and the loudspeaker shall face inward towards the booth, with speakers angled
downward. Sound volume shall be maintained below 85 decibels, and adjacent
booths cannot conduct events on stage or simultaneously use the loudspeakers.
c. An inspection team formed by the facility management staff and the organizer shall
control and regulate the noise inside the venue. Exhibitors in violation of the rules
specified shall be fined.
d. Violations will be processed in three stages:
Stage 1:
If the volume of the loudspeaker exceeds the specified decibel level or the
exhibitor violates other regulations and does not make immediate rectification
following verbal warning, a warning ticket will be issued with a note stating
that a fine will be issued if repeated violation is found.
Stage 2:
If a violation has not been improved after additional review, a fine will be
issued based on the number of offenses: NT$1,000 for first time offenders,
NT$4,000 for second time offenders, NT$10,000 for third time offenders,
NT$15,000 for forth time offenders, and NT$20,000 for fifth time offenders.
Stage 3:
For exhibitors who refuse to make improvements and have been fined five
times, TAITRA will stop providing electricity for the violating booth.
e. Volume testing: A decibel meter will be used at a height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters, close
to the average height of human ears, and placed 3 meters parallel from the sound
source.
f. Wireless microphone equipment
Exhibitor must apply to the management unit for approval for the maximum
microphone level and set up the microphone only after receiving approval. If a
microphone is used in violation without proper approval and interferes with other
activities, TAITRA will request the violator to stop using the equipment immediately,

as well as handle the violation pursuant to the three stages listed above.
Construction Regulations
A. All construction wastes and packaging materials shall be disposed of daily and shall
not be placed on walkways, obstruct traffic, create a safety hazard or affects the
construction process. The exhibitors shall be responsible for all associated costs for
disposing wastes from their booth if waste is not disposed of in time.
B. The booth's structure, display items, and decorations such as signs, flags, plants,
carpets and overhead lights cannot exceed the area that is outside the space
perpendicular to the ground.
C. Pursuant to Article 11 of the Fire Services Act, booth decorations used in the entire
exhibition hall shall be made of materials indicated as flameproof; relevant materials
including carpets, curtains, cloth screens, advertisement boards used during the
exhibition, and other objects must be designated as flameproof. A flameproof marker
shall be affixed to a visible corner of the item that has been verified by a specialized
agency. Exhibitors shall prepare valid documents of proof to certify their materials are
flameproof, as references by the fire department from the day they start the
decoration work to the end of the exhibition. If these regulations are violated, causing
TAITRA to receive a fine or incur penalty, the violating exhibitor and/or exhibitor shall
bear full responsibility.
D. Exhibitors are responsible for the assembly and decoration (including carpet, banner
stand, and lighting) of their own stand space. Institutes and universities are to plan for
the move-in in accordance with the YODEX Exhibitor Manual and the Taiwan External
Trade Development Council Operation Procedure for Exhibit Decoration.
E. Installing carpets by spreading adhesives on the floor is strictly prohibited. To install
carpeting, non-residue tape shall be placed on the floor, along the wall and 10
centimeters from the wall to secure the carpet to the floor. Double-sided carpet tape
shall be placed on top of the non-residue tape to secure the carpet. When removing
the carpet, tape must also be removed cleanly and taken away from the exhibition
hall along with the carpet.
F. Painting:
a. Painting in the exhibition hall must be done with water-based paint.
b. Painting crews are responsible for cleaning masking tape scraps that are still attached,
which shall be gathered and discarded in the trash.
c. PVC cloth or plywood shall be placed on the floor before painting, so that paint does
not stain the floor.
d. Dumping leftover paint into bathroom sinks or toilets is strictly prohibited; instead,

painting equipment shall be washed in designated washrooms. Those exhibitors
found in violation will be held responsible for all cleaning and expenses incurred.
G. Tethered balloons shall not be used in the exhibition hall. If balloons are floating on the
exhibition hall ceiling, or if strings are hanging from the pipelines on the ceiling, they
must be removed before leaving the site, otherwise a fine of NT$10,000 per
balloon/string will be issued. The exhibitor is liable for all legal responsibilities and
damage compensation for accidents caused by tethered balloons.
H. Exhibitors who require temporary landlines ,cellphones or internet should contact
Chunghwa Telecom (Tel: +886-2-2720-0149 or +886-2-2788-9944).
I. During the installation period, all contractors commissioned by exhibitors shall be
collectively managed by the security team of the Taiwan External Trade Development
Council (TAITRA). Contractors commissioned by exhibitors should abide by all pertinent
terms and regulations. (Contractors shall submit to TAITRA a NTD 20,000 general
deposit.
J. Consumption of alcohol (including alcoholic beverages) and chewing betel nuts or gum
inside the exhibition halls is strictly prohibited, and for the purpose of maintaining
image and safety, workers are prohibited from being shirtless or wearing slippers or
bringing pets while working on site.
K. The use of steel nails, spray paint, arc welding and chainsaws is strictly prohibited within
the exhibition halls so as to avoid noise and air pollution.
L. Nails cannot be used on exhibition ground, walls, pillars, ceilings and other facilities, or
to cause any damage.
M. Vehicle control in the exhibition area:
a. During the installation and dismantling periods, passenger cars are not allowed
inside the exhibition area. Only trucks transporting goods can enter the exhibition
hall and should follow specified routes. Once the goods are delivered, vehicles
should leave the premises as soon as possible to avoid blocking traffic and
affecting overall operations. Each exhibitor is only allowed to have one vehicle
inside the hall at a time. TAITRA will document the time of entrance, the number on
the license plate, the stand using the vehicle, and the person in charge. A NTD 1,000
deposit is collected as the vehicle enters. It will be returned in full if the vehicle
leaves the premises within one hour of entrance. Otherwise, NTD 200 per hour will
be charged.
b. During the installation time periods, vehicles shall leave the exhibition area before
3:00 pm and dismantling time periods, vehicles shall leave the exhibition area
before 5:00 pm. Vehicles shall not be permitted to reenter the exhibition hall.
c. Vehicles with a total weight of more than 15 tons (determined by the weight
indicated on the vehicle or on vehicle registration), and crane trucks of any capacity

(including derrick trucks) shall submit a written application(Appendix 7) to yodex
through the event organizer before April 21, 2020.
I. If a vehicle with a total weight of more than 15 tons is loaded with cargo, a proof
of weighing issued within the last 24 hours is required and must be accepted by
the management unit of Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 2 before entry is
permitted. Only if and when such proof is accepted will the vehicle be allowed to
enter the site for operation within the allocated time period.
II. No grapple trucks are allowed outside the exhibition hall and its surroundings
(entrances, sidewalks, squares, unloading areas, and parking lots).
III. Electric or LPG forklifts that weigh 2.5 tons or less may enter the exhibition halls
for operation. But diesel forklifts are prohibited inside the exhibition halls.
IV. On the first floor (areas P and Q) trucks shall enter from the entrances on the
south and north sides of the Exhibition Hall (truck and vehicle entrance on Sec. 1,
Nangang Rd. and Ln. 62, Jingmao 2nd Rd.); to get to the fourth floor, vehicles
must go up through the truck ramp (also known as the curved ramp with a total
width of 5.5 meters and height of 4.2 meters, the vehicle height limit is 4
meters).
V. The height and width of cargo entrances at each area are as follows:
Area P: (south area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide;
(west area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide
Area Q: (north area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide;
(west area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide
Area R: (west area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide
Area S: (west area) 4.8 meters tall, 4.6 meters wide
VI. The vehicle's height limit for the entire first and fourth floors of the exhibition
hall is 4 meters. If the total height of the vehicle or its cargo exceeds 4 meters,
an application must be submitted to the management unit (including 4.25-meter
extra height container trucks). Vehicles may enter the site by taking designated
routes after receiving approval.
VII. The maximum load capacity of the exhibition hall's first floor is 5 tons/m2, and
the maximum load capacity of the fourth floor is 2 tons/m2. Vehicles or cargo
that exceed the widths of the cargo entrance or the freight elevator door, or
surpass the height restriction of the curved ramp are prohibited from entering
the exhibition hall. Exhibits or decorations that exceed the weight limit must be
dismantled and packaged separately before they enter the exhibition halls.
Those that cause damage to the facility due to improper handling shall be liable
for compensation.

Booth Power and Water Supply A. Fee standards and required documents
a. A basic electricity and water fee of US$20 is charged to each stand. Each stand is
provided with an 110 V electricity supply of 0.5 kw.
b. Power and water supply documents submission
Please submit scanned copies of Appendices 2-1, 2-2, and 2-5 (files should be in JPG
or PNG format) to the YODEX mailbox.
B. Guideline for application of booth power and water
a. Power distribution and hook-up service to standard voltage electric power (110 V)
are provided (electrical outlets not included).
b. Three-phase voltage electric power (220 V) is provided as requested in applications.
20 Amp circuit breakers are used for the power supply. Exhibitors in need of more
than one circuit breaker are required to specify the power needed and the intended
location of power usage on the Application Form for Additional Plumbing and
Electrical Services. Power supply under 20 Amp is provided via electrical outlets.
c. Water supply is provided with 16-mm tubing and valves (faucets not included).
d. Please refer to the “Appendix 2-3 Standard Costs of Booth Power and Water” and
“Appendix 2-4 Power Consumption of Electrical Equipment Reference Chart” for the
fee standards of plumbing and electrical services.
e. Exhibitors may install uninterruptible power supplies to ensure the electrical safety
of special exhibits.
f. During the booth installation:
May 20(Wed): Power is only available via the 110 V electrical outlets on the pillars for
stand decoration purposes. Lighting power is not provided on this day.
May 21 (Thur): Electricity is available from 08:30 to 17:00.
g. During the exhibition:
May 22 (Fri.): Electricity is available from 08:30 to 17:30.
May 23 (Sat.)-May 24 (Sun.): Electricity is available from 08:30 to 18:30.
May 25 (Mon.): Electricity is available from 09:30 to 17:30.
h. The Taiwan Design Research Institute(TDRI) is entitled to cut electricity and water to
stands without advance notice in the case of: unauthorized use of electricity/water,
late payment of fee, overuse or overload of electricity/water supply, and other

violations or unsafe practices. Exhibitors are solely responsible for any loss incurred
due to these violations.
Exhibition Venue Violations
The preceding guidelines are the guidelines for the exhibition venue. Exhibitors in violation
of said guidelines shall have their security deposit deducted.
Taiwan Design Research Institute(TDRI) reserves the right to change the content of this Exhibitor

1. Exhibitors needing to enclose pillars inside their stands or near corridors should request approval from
the event organizer before they start the installation process. (The wrapping should be no thicker than
30 cm.) The following rules apply: (1) Fire hoses (width: 94cm, height: 126cm) and fire extinguishers
(width: 65 cm, height: 75 cm) should not be blocked. (2.) Power supply units should not be blocked
(width: 60 cm, height :136 cm). (3.) Holes of 60 cm in width and 60 cm in height should be kept on the
new walls for the normal functioning of existing exhaust fans. (4.) Smoke detectors should be exposed
and not blocked by any partition wall or any object. Space needed for one detector: width 15 cm,
height 15 cm, for two detectors: width 15 cm, height 30 cm, for three detectors; width 15 cm, height 45
cm. A hole of 30 cm should be placed below and above each detector. (5) Walls around pillars should
not exceed 4 meters in height.
2. If any of the above rules is violated and the situation is not corrected after TAITRA’s warning, the event
organizer will be fined NTD 5,000 per incident. If fines are issued by the fire department or other
relevant agencies, the exhibitors are responsible for all fines and legal liabilities.

1. The edge of the stage must be at least 2 meters away from the edge of the aisle. At most two speakers are
allowed except where the Center has given approval. Speakers must face inward and be placed at a downward
angle. Volume cannot exceed 85 decibels. No two neighboring booths can run stage activities or play stereos at
the same time.
2. The organizer must ensure that exhibitors follow the abovementioned guidelines and the Center may organize
an inspection team to enforce these rules. The Center will perform checks regardless of whether the organizer
cooperates. Organizers that do not cooperate and are in violation will be issued fines (to be deducted from the
deposit.) The organizer is responsible for keeping track of violating parties, fining them and making sure
improvements are made.
3. There are three degrees of penalties for violations:
First Degree: If test results show that sound is louder than the limit and the violator does not correct the
situation after receiving an oral warning, a ticket will be issued and the violator will be notified
that the next offense will result in a fine.
Second Degree: If no improvements are made upon subsequent checks, fines will be issued: NT$1,000 for the
first check, NT$4,000 for the second check, NT$10,000 for the third check, NT$15,000 for the
fourth check, and NT$20,000 for the fifth check (the organizer is allowed to increase or decrease
the amount levied on exhibitors based on its prior exhibition experience.)

Third Degree: If the violating party still refuses to cooperate after five times, no power will be provided to the
booth. Other violations committed by the decoration contractor or stereo specialists will be dealt

4. Volume testing: A decibel meter will be used at a height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters, close to the average height of

Application Notice: 1. Application: To provide the safty of the constructio, floors, staff of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall, the vehicle over 15
tons (accoding to the drive licences) or any tons of the lifting vehicle or stacker should apply to Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 2 Management beforehand.
2. Safe responsibility: The maximum load for the floor of the exhibition ground on the 4th floor exhibition hall is 2 tons / square meter, and 5 tons / square meter on the 1st floor exhibition hall. The organizer is responsible to install bases and bearings (steel beams, boards, and ties) that reduce the concentrated contact of the weight of the vehicles and cargo with the floor to prevent damaging the floor. The organizer will be solely responsible for damages and/or injuries to the facilities and/or staff because of the operation of vehicles or the cargo they carry, or any other equipments, instruments, and others. (note: items for exhibition or decoration must be dismantled before transporting inside and outside if their sizes exceed the maximum height and width of the entrances/exits. Sizes for cargo entrance for each area are listed below: Area P: Height 4.8 meters, Width 4.6 meters; Area Q: Height 4.8 meters, Width 4.6 meters; Area R: Height 4.8 meters, Width 4.6 meters; The organizer will be responsible for any damage on the facilities caused by improper handling).
