Youthful respect is earned, not automatically given

Young Timothy was respected (Acts 16:1-4)

Young David would not be despised by his brothers, by Saul, by Goliath (1 Sam. 17:28-29, 31-33, 42-44)

Your daily living must match a standard (Eph. 4:1; Phil. 1:27)

Your peers are looking at you (Mt. 5:13-15; Phil. 2:15; 1 Pet. 2:9-12)

Your mind must be controlled in order to control your living (Rom. 12:1-2; Phil. 4:8)

Love is expressed in service to others – “charity” (1 Jn. 3:15-18; 4:7-8)

Love is selective (1 Jn. 2:15-17)

A zealous attitude - you can be zealous in your service (Rom. 12:11; Rev. 3:16)

An excelling attitude - you can excel in you work for the Lord (1 Cor. 15:58)

A high attitude – you can set your mind on things above (Col. 3:1-2)
